I don't WANT a NEW secret pal

I sent my email I just want to keep the one I have been sending to. Why are we having to change. I already have a gift specifically for her now I have to go buy a new one for someone else? I like my person have never missed sending a gift to her and have never been late but now I have to change Pals..... I am not happy. I appreciate what you are doing for the program Anissa but I am verry sad and unhappy now. Sarah

Sarah, I did my best to keep everyone assigned to their original pal.. but if the pal you were sending to DIDNT email me to remain in the program, what can I do? I cant chase down and force people to play!

I know that my pal hasn't been on the boards since January so she probably hasn't checked the forum. I didn't even see the post til 4 days after the deadline because I don't come to this forum except once a month to post a thank you. I would have gotten booted from the program also. There is a way to send an email to the people not just post a message and too bad if you don't see it in time. I would like to respectfully... withdraw from the program at this time. I know you have had alot of trouble with people not paying attention but I only saw the notice by accident I am sure she is the same.

So be it.

I dont think you realize that JUSt to resend out pals information, I have to open each questionnaire, manually copy the email address and send out an email ONE at a time. Its not so easy to mass email 200+ people at once, especially when half of the 'members' have left the program. I certainly dont have time to start weeding through emails, comparing screen/user names, to real names and addresses.

I posted the notice with more than 2 weeks to get your information in. I also posted a link back to the notice on the main board. I gave a March 21st cut-off because I KNEW there would be late emails, and I kept adding those people until late last night.

What else can I do?... ALL I can do is run this program, and hope that everyone playing pays attention. I am not a babysitter.

If you REALLY wanted to keep your pal, you could have just as easily emailed or PM'd her yourself, from your name or a secret name to ask her to resign up.

Ok.... first off I have been a little busy and am not always on the board my son just had surgery to reconstruct facial bones so I might have had a LITTLE on my mind. I am not getting into a p*ssing contest with you on this. Lots of people aren't on the boards all the time and if you post something and it is not a sticky where it stays on top.... it is gone in a couple hours because most people don't read back 10 pages to see what they missed. The attitude that you are displaying leaves a bit to be desired but I wish you lots of luck and smooth sailing on this endeavor.

This is no ******g contest Sarah nor do I have an 'attitude'. Maybe you are reading too much into my response.

And although you've had some misfortunate things happening in your life , you cannot expect me to 'know' whats going on. Like I said.. ALL I can do is make the posts and when they are important posts, I also put them on the main board. I do not have access to making notices pinned or stickied on the top.

Just because I run the program, doesnt mean that I have control over everyone playing. If you seriously have an issue with not getting your old pal.. maybe you should have spoke to her. Instead of busting up like this, you both could have resigned up and started again in May. And yes.. you would have gotten her again if you requested... because THAT is what Ive been doing... trying to keep ALL of you happy.

Obviously I couldnt with you, and I'd feel terrible about it... had I had any control over it. Anyways.. I have explained myself.. take it or leave it.
