no surgery

hello all Dr. could not do the surgery because of all the adhesions and scare tissues from past surgery and bowel could not be moved it was attached so he has recommened to go and have the Lap Band Surgery I will still watch my eating and still excerise thanks for all prayers and emails and cards Renee (sumo mom)

Hi Renee, I'm sorry to hear that you couldn't receive the surgery you hoped for. I too am in the same boat. I was hoping to have the RNY procedure however, with several abdominal surgeries behind me the surgeon can only perform the lap band procedure. I was crushed at first however, as I continue to read I believe it will be the right decision. There will be less risks and over a three to five year time frame, my weight loss will be very close to what I would of lost with the RNY procedure.
