Karen Martin is DA BOMB!!!!!!!!!!!!
Boomer!!!!!!
My gawd, how did you ever find something so perfect?!?!?!?!!?
I literally cried when I opened up the package...the Faerie, her wings, the Moon....they are soooo beautiful!!!
I had to run and show my kids what my great Secret Pal sent, and even they were impressed (13 and almost 15 year old boys). They asked how you knew to send me something so "ME"!
You are fantastic Boomer. I feel very blessed to have you as my Secret Pal.
You have no idea what these wonderful gifts mean to me.
Bliss..................

Shannon,
I just had to go ahead and send that one as I knew she was special. I went searching for fairies online and found her. She was even more special than the picture on line.
I was blessed to receive you as a secret pal. Once I saw your completed questionaire I had a lot of ideas as to what to get you. I don't collect things, never have but have always had a liking for fairies and things like that. I remember seeing Peter Pan as a child and I really was entranced by Tinker Bell, still am as an adult. I remember fairies in one of the series of Trilogy of the Rings which I read and saw as movies. The fascinate me.
I found a couple of places on ebay that specialize in fairies. This one was special I know because of her size and sitting in the moon, then the tiny soft wings finish her off.
I have found several things for you and already bought them. I have had a lot of fun finding things I know you will like. I have a hard time not sending them all at once but that reflects my own problem with delayed gratification.
I also like the Renassaince period costumes. I have never had a desire to dress in one but it is fun to see other people in them. I first saw them at the Renaissance fair held here in Houston annually. Over the past many years it seems to have gotten really popular. I get catalogues from time to time with clothing and stuff related to this period, so it must be a hot interest for many. I know you said that was an interest of yours.
How are you doing on your six month diet? I am in my fourth month now and actually doing well. I have lost almost 20 pound. It was very rough at first but have been off anything dessert like, meaning pies, cake and ice cream or cookies or anytning with sugar for over a month now. I have actually been having second thoughts about this surgery and wondering if I can do it on my own this timeand keep the weight off but it is such a slow process. The maintenance part is hard for post ops too expecially after 18 months or so. I have been working hard on my emotional eating with my therapist and took an online course called Mastering Food which was very helpful. I probably will have the surgery as my PCP feels strongly I need to get the weight off fast due to my comorbitiies. He and the surgeon both feel this and that the pouch will be more helpful in maintenance than without one. I have talked with many post ops who say this is true as long your follow the pouch rules.
I am glad your boys liked your gift. It sounds like they really know their Mom.
Once again I am so pleased you like what what I sent. The other two were cute but this one was really special and I am glad I found it.
