did i tell you all i got a date also?

Hi I m not sure if I posted but I also have a surgery date! Its July 10th 7 am!!! I am happy but also a little scared. Someone please tell me its going to be alright!!! Please pray for me also. I think I am doing the right thing by having surgery but I would hate to leave my family. I have researched this for 6 years and have been tring to have it done for 18 months now. I will get my pals gift out probally the day before on the 9th if thats ok rathr than the 15th. Im not sure I will be up to it around then. Misty

Misty I am so happy for you. You just have to trust in God to know you are doing the right thing. I was also scared and had the same feelings you are probably going through right now. All I can say as I looked at it like this "Everyday I was killing myself just a little more...with the food I ate, the lack of energy and the high blood pressure I had. When it is your time there is nothing you can do. I know I did the right thing and am so happy it worked out for me. Good luck and just beleive in yourself... ~~Hugs AND well wishes~~ Chris

YEEEEEEEEEEEEHAWWWWWWWWWWWWW MISTY!!!! I am still a pre-pre op myself, still working on "supervised' weight requirements so I don't even have a date yet, but look at ALL the successful and safe stories on this site alone!!! There probably isn't anything more you could learn about the surgery itself, etc... after researching it for so long. I would feel prepared, but still scared too....it is surgery after all. It's not something we like to have done to us, if you did, you probably wouldn't have passed the psych exam! You will be in my thoughts and I wish you all the best!!! Bliss......... ~Shan~
