Topic: RE: just read about maybe making plans for wls dive trips
I see its been a while since anyone has posted on here talking about a planned WLS dive trip.
I haven't had surgery yet, I am going in on Aug. 16th and will be ready to dive by the end of Sept. (i hope)
If there is some kind of dive trip planned I hope they post it on here.
Suggestion from me....COME TO BELIZE
I am a master diver (almost dive master) my brother inlaw is an instructor and my other brother inlaws are dive masters, all here in Belize.
We have a boat and have friends with boats.
Feb and March are great months (weather wise) to come down.
Anyhoo...I hope to see some kind of trip planned soon.
COUNT ME IN
Hey Nancy....
I used to dive Monterey every weekend. That is where I got certified, did my final dive in Lake Tahoe. Kelp diving is AWESOME!!!!!!
It's weird to say this but I do miss cold water diving. Its just a whole different world. Someday I'll get back there to do more dives. I'll have to look into getting a drysuit though...
Take care all and happy divin'

Hey Earl- Great saying on the t-shirt!
Another great place to dive is Belize. I can say that cuz I live here.
Its awesome! A lot of folks just end up going up to the northern part of the reef and that is fine with me. Keep 'em off the most beautuiful parts.
Anyhoo...just tossin in my 2 sense
Diving Hawaii sounds great too. I would love to see some of the wrecks at Pearl Harbor!!!

I have to reply to my own post, kinda like talking to myself, oh well I guess I'm never alone.
The name of the dive operator that I highly recomend is Aldora Divers, not alsora divers. Darned fat fingers anyway.
My apologise to the wonderful peaple at Aldora!

Glad to hear you had such a good time. I've not been to Hawai yet, though it sounds like a trip I would like to make. Man, there are so many places that would be a kick in the head to go dive. To date I've only been to Key West and Cozumel. It would be cool if everyone would post about all the places they've dived, it would maybe help narrow the choices in destinations.
Well again, glad you had a great time.
bought a t-shirt that says " Life is Diving, Everything else is just a long surface interval!"

Hey everybody. Back in the real world again after 8 marvelous days in Oahu. It was truly the trip of a lifetime for me. I have been so busy since getting back that I haven't even developed my film yet. Unfortunately I didn't get a lot of underwater shots, but I did get just a few that I will share when developed. For those who haven't been, there is an abundance of tubes and brains. Not a whole lot of fans, but that is ok. The marine life is AWESOME!!! fish everywhere. Also got to see a few eels, a few sharks, and sea urchins. Did I mention the sea urchins the size of volleyballs? They are freakin' HUGE!!! Had the pleasure of Hanauma Bay (National Marine Sanctuary), Sunset Beach, WaiNai Beach, Electric Beach, and Shark Cove. Also got to do some diving near Ewa Channel that leads in to Pearl Harbor. Saw some wreckage and debris that is left from the attack. Very moving. Hope you all get to enjoy it some day.

Topic: just back from Cozumel
Hi to all,
I just got back from our family vacation in Mexico. Spent the first five days in Cancun, last six days in Cozumel.
Didnt realy care for Cancun much at all, everyone seemed a bit unfriendly,
sometimes even borderline hostile. Did the Chichen-Itza ruins, Tulum ruins,
felt realy bad for the people there trying to survive on whatever they could make selling trinkets.
The two things we did that was a lot of fun were the pirate dinner cruise, and X-Caret park, would recomend those to anyone.
Ahh Cozumel, should have spent all of our vacation there. Did two days of two tank diving with Alsora Divers, realy wonderful group of peaple, they met us at the airport and helped with customw and also made sure we got transportation to the farey for a fair price. We used large capacity steel tanks, mandatory dive computers that they will loan you if you dont own one, fast boats with a max of six divers per boat, all divers are grouped by experiance, bottom time was for 60 minutes plus. Dive masters were excellant, and patient with all the new divers. Being larger in size I used my air a bit faster than the others, again the divemaster maximized bottom time for the group by sharing his air with me. I cant say enough good about Alsora Divers.
I doubt that I will ever go back to Cancun, but will definately try to make it back to Cozumel many more times.
Hope everyone is doing good, thought an update to the board was due.
God bless all
