I love scrapbooking, but my addiction is rubber stamping! I love to make cards and all kinds of stuff. I sell rubber stamps through Stampin' Up!, mainly to support my addiction!LOL! I was stamping cards in the hospital 2 days after my surgery! Now, 3 moths later, I have so much more energy that when I am staying up until 11:30-12 to stamp I am not as tired when I have to wake up at 5:30 am. I would love to do a swap with some if anyone is interested! Later,Lori Ross

Hi Missy; I am very proud to say Ihave been published twice and one of those was in Memory Makers Paperdolls Special Edition. I had three of my paperdolls published. Now the sad part is I did not receive a cash award but on the up side, I got a box "full" of wonderful scrapbooking items. I guess the box was around $100 if I had to go out and purchase it. On my second publication, I submitted a tip for scrapbooking and there again recieved a pkg of super items. So to me it is well worht submitting your layouts or tips or what ever you are good at. Good luck and let me know how it goes. BarbP

I have submitted many times however, have never been selected to have anything published. Don't get discouraged, many of the "big" scrappers had to repeatedly submit before they were discovered. There is a website www.scrapsubmit.com where you can submit to many different mags at one time.

For any of you who are working on your "Before and After" album and you would like to encorporate your documents and approval letters, there are several ways to do it. With a post bound album, you can simply slide the letter or medical document in the page protector. But what about us who use strap hinge (Creative Memories and Westrim) or Spiral & 3 ring bound albums??? If you don't plan to ever remove the diocuments, you can add them to a page as if you would add a large picture with adhesive. However, if you would like to be able to remove the documents later, there are several things that will work. I've tried using Photo Corners to mount other things in albums. It basically just traps the corners, so you can easily remove it if need be, However, I could never get them just right, and the items kept falling out. There are also photo mounting sleeves. Basically is a photo or page sized sleeve that gets mounted to the page, and the picture or document slides in. Its held in place, but no adhesive goes on the document. However, I personally chose the Portrait Sleeves by Creative Memories for my album. I am doing an 8.5X11 album. And I want to include my medical documents and approval letters. The Portrait Sleeves are sort of like post bound page protectors that fit into strap hinge albums. The edge slides in just like any other page, however is a page that is basically a protector. Slide your document down in it and now you can read the front and back of your approval letter or other medical document. You can easily remove the portrait sleeve or remove the contents. If you would like to see the portrait sleeves in action, check with your Creative Memories consultant. Leland Lap RNY 08/04/04

A shaker box is a small self contained embellishment that you can use on your pages. They have a vellum or plastic cover over an opening so that you can see what is inside. You can learn how to make them on most scrapbooking websites. They are not expensive to make and you probably have the supplies on hand to do them. Some people put small beads or coins in them. They can be as large or small as you want. I hope this helps! Cathy
