I have an awsome paper holder I made. I made hanging file folders out of legal size files and extended the bottoms. I sliced one file folder and added another to make a 13" depth. I taped them together. I lined them with some cheap damaged acid free paper. I then found an old TV table that had a top that could be cut out (harb board) and used a jig saw to cut it to the proper width of the hanging folder frame. I used plastic ties to hold the folder frame to the table. It will hold 2000 sheets of paper and about 25 file folder when full. It cost in total $25.00 for parts and materials to. It is really sturdy and is on castors so is really easy to move to my work area then back to its storage place. I made a vinyl cloth slip cover to cover it over to keep the dust out ($10.00) all in canadian funds that is.
I am hating my 6X6 album now that I found a really pretty 12" that I want to use... but the 6X6 is portable to take travelling when our province wide group meets every now and then.

I was starting to think that we were all alone again! I know what you mean about paper -I'm the same way. If you use 12x12 you should look into the Paper Holder by Cropper Hopper. Each holds 200+ sheets and can be organized easily. They hold the paper vertically so it's easier to see.
The 8x8 or 6x6 albums are usually my "relief" work, I can feel like I've accomplished something relatively fast.
Just recently started using transparencies in my work. They look pretty cool though.
Hopefully, we will get others on board and can exchange ideas.

I read this all the time, but seldom post.
I am doing my weight loss album right now... actually redoing it, cause I found paper I liked better. Slab IV from Provocraft... love those colors!
I am also doing a memorial album of my dad, he died when i was 13. I am also working on recent picture pages... when I need something relaxing and easy to do that isn't so heart wrenching.
Well here are my must haves:
1. Hermafix tape dispenser
2. Softcut scissors (found at Zellers) they have excellent handles for small hands.
3. Cutterpede Straight Edge Trimmer
5. Memory Making Rub On letters
6. Any alphabet letter stickers
7. brads, 1/16" and 1/18" eyelets and 1/8" brads
8. Glossy Accents
9. Colluzzle
10. Paper (I am working on getting up to 1500 sheets, just to say I have done it. I have 1300 now.) I know... sad.....

i have been looking and finally found it not sure how but i am here..i am loving this scrappin thing me and my family and friends and my 3 yo loves it...i do mostly creative memories but other stuff too..well i am so glad i found you guys..talk to you soon..now i gotta figure out how to get here..

I recently posted on the main message board and actually found that we do exist as a group! Hopefully, we can share information and ideas here. I intend to check this board each time I log on. Hope you do too.
I have been thinking about the tools that I simply could not do without. This is what I came up with:
1. Perfect Layers (from QVC) - allows you to mat perfectly every time
2. Xyron machine - with repositionable adhesive
3. True Lite crafting lamp - shows real colors
4. WackyTac products - especially for vellum adhesion
5. self-adhesive mesh and ribbon
6. 3D self-adhesive letters
7. Soft Spoken sayings
8. Cropper Hopper's Paper Holder - stores 12x12 paper vertically so you can see it easily 
My craft room looks like a split between Joanne's Etc, Michael's and AC Moore. I can never quit scrapbooking -not that I want to- I have too much stuff!!!
Last year I did an album for my nephew's finance as a shower gift. It was about her growing up, him growing up, them together, the shower, and the wedding. I left the shower and wedding pages so that all they had to do was add the photos. As a part of her Christmas gift, I did an 8x8 album of family recipes with the historical background. They turned out so well that now my niece, who is getting married in Oct., wants the same done.
Well, I would like to hear what things you use that are "must haves". Hope to hear from you.

I've got the book, now I just need to lose the weight! 
I'm 6 days post op and am already feeling like I've lost some. I'm very excited to start getting pictures done and start the losing part of the book!
