Topic: RE: Just you and me?
I'm more of a collector than a scrapbooker - lol! I have SO many rubber stamps & supplies AND scrapbooking supplies - esp. stickers out the wazoo...yikes! I REALLY need to get cracking with my albums. I used to be Assistant Manager at a scrapbook store - that was gosh, over 4 years ago now. And I had plenty of experience before then; I'd been scrapbooking well before the craze hit years ago - back in the old days when supplies were extremely few and far between & no one had a clue about "archivally safe" or "acid free." I never could stand albums made with construction paper (lack of) quality, as I knew that the paper was crappy and would easily fade. As for rubber stamping, I've been a fanatic for that for 13+ years - although I did dabble in stamping from Jr. High on...again, when those supplies were few & far between.
I know there are a lot of scrapbookers here at Obesity Help - I have seen countless women list that under their interests in their profiles.

I just head about this site and think it is a great idea. Scrapbookers are such creative people and generous with ideas and time.
I go do it in streaks, will work and then not touch it for a while. I have been behind for a year or so, need to make the time to get back to it, I miss it. It is so much fun, like kindegarton, cut paste, color, stamp, whatever you want, and so relaxing. The themes are so endless. I think I will never be really caught up but enjoy trying anyway.

Target has recently revamped their scrapbooking section. They have some nicely priced albums & paper sets.

One of the nice thing about scrapbooking is it is hard to make a mistake that cannot be fixed. The reversed page is a common mistake and I have changed them back to straighten them up. CM has a handy blunt tipped plastic gadget that does help get things off a page you need to change.
My best advice is to jump in and have fun.

You are too funny!! I'll be up at midnight tonight checking it out as well.

I'd love to be a CM consultant! I just don't have the $200 start up fees to get started! LOL But I plan to start up one day. The discounts and stuff as a seller are AWESOME because the products are a bit pricey. I did get some stamp collections 50% last month, so that was cool.
Let's see what have I done so far for scrapping my WLS journey? I guess just take pictures of me every week or so. I'm only about, well, gosh, Tuesday will be 5 weeks out. So I got some time to go before I see a major difference and have enough pictures and stuff to put in a scrapbook. Ugh, my hospital pictures are atrocious. LOL I look like a beached whale under covers in a hospital bed. LOL One of my after photos down the line is to be in my bed here at home, under some sheets and to get a picture taken so I can compare. It's amazing what we look like laying in bed even under sheets/blankets. LOL
Anyway, so my scrapbooking process for my WLS has just begun.
Topic: RE: Scrapbooking Day on QVC
Oh wow!! Why couldn't they air it this weekend after I get paid? Doggonit!! Thanks for letting us know. I drool when I hear that your craft room looks like Michaels. Dare to dream! Right now all my stuff fits in a box. LOL I'm a novice, a beginner, but I plan on buying some more supplies this weekend (after I get paid) because I'm having a few friends over for stamping and scrapbooking in a couple weeks.
Topic: Scrapbooking Supplies @ Walmart
I was surprised at how much scrapbooking and stamping supplies they have at Walmart. It's in the craft section area - near fabrics. Check it out! Prices sure beat Creative Memories and other well known distributors. They also have a good selection of plain and patterned sheets, stencils, etc. I know Michaels is GREAT on supplies, but they can be a bit pricey sometimes.

Hi Bambi,
Thanks for coming on board! We need people with ideas. I would love to hear about your consulting. There is so much good stuff out there that sometimes it's hard to decide what to use. Please keep checking back to see what's happening.

Hey Diane,
Thanks for joining us! A swap sounds great - I have sooooooo much stuff that I recently bought duplicates and triplicates and didn't even know it. Let's see what we can do.
