Topic: RE: Anybody into bookarts?
HI Trish -
Get your friend to teach you when you two have free time. You'll find yourself looking at every bit of paper you come across in a new way.

hi Dianna!
Sounds like you're having fun! I have never tried buying a book that was already put together and then decorating. I think I'll try that!
Also, my favorite book to make is the accordion book. I've done some variations on the accordion style book and got them exhibited in shows.

Topic: National Scrapbooking Day - May 7
Anyone living in the mid-Atlantic region: May 7 will be a special scrapbooking day at QVC near Philadelphia.
The first session is sold out but the afternoon/evening session is still open. They have classes and there will be an audience show with Lisa Bearnson from Creating Keepsakes. If you are interested, go to the QVC website, customer service and then special events. Hope to see some of you there.

I always buy a lot of supplies from our wal-mart. In fact just got some last night to start our Disneyland album !

Topic: RE: Supplies at Target
Ours (northern California) had redid their scrapbook section last summer, and had a great selection. But I was in their about a week ago, and they had very little stuff. Not sure if they are getting rid of it, or just low on supplies. Their prices are always much better than the scrapbook stores.

Our Targets here in Southern California also have a lot of scrapping supplies in the $1 bins at the entrance to the store. Here you can find mulberry paper scraps, double sided tape, tiny velum envelopes for journaling, and embellishments. Take your time and check the bins! Happy scrappin'

Topic: Started WLS Scrapbook
Well, I finally found my muse & was able to start my WLS scrapbook. It is an 8"x8" album that I bought at Target. My angel, Kimberly, came over yesterday afternoon, and we scrapped like there was no tomorrow! I don't have my most recent pictures developed yet, so I worked on my layouts & I'll add the pics later. I got 4 layouts done - but I am NOT a fast scrapbooker. I am far too anal to be bothered by quickness - LOL!
Plus, I have jillions of supplies, so it's hard to narrow it down to what papers / embellishments I want to use. I had bought a small sheet of tags from a sb store that listed (just titles) what my goals are: for my body, my mind, my spirit, my relationships, to help others & my career. Those are the pages I did. Of course, I haven't done any journaling. Maybe I'll try to scan the pages I did if anyone would like to see them.

Topic: Supplies at Target
I was surprised yesterday to see that the Target (Greatland) near my home has dramatically increased the amount of supplies that they carry. There were small sets of paper ($3.99), matching embellishments ($2.49-5.99), and vellum quotes ($5.99). The quality is good. They also carry a line of military materials- for specific branches. The prices were much better than a craft store.
I also just received an order from ScrapYourTrip.com. Obviously, all the materials are travel related. They were new to me. Again, the quality was good and the prices reasonable.
