I am putting my WLS approved letter from Aetna! (also my denial). My surgery confirmation and pre-op testing appointment page my dr's office sent me. One of my online buddies had WLS last week and she said she was going to put the little doiley they serve our 1/2 oz stuff in while we are in the hospital, she traced around the 1/2 oz cup and wrote what each meal consisted of. Thinking back I forget what I had at each meal and that'd be interesting to do. So I highly recommend that. Also I might put some medical records in there! Sounds weird, but I think it'd be good to see where I came from and my blood levels at points along the way. So things like that. I haven't started my WLS scrapbook yet but am getting things ready for it. I'm 2 months out now and have lost 48 lbs. So I need to get started before I forget stuff!

Yep, this board is d-e-a-d , dead! How about we do this!! Everyone go to your state message board (see above where it says "go local"). And post the URL for this page (http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/member-interests/scrapbooks/). I think there's a lot of people out there that don't know this board exists!! Walmart had some great sales this past week where I live on scrapbooking stuff. I got scrapbooking themed pages for $2.00 and I think it included 10 or 12 pages of pretty printed paper (themed). I was like WOW! I'm also making cards/stamping a lot lately moreso than scrapbooking. It's so much fun and time just flies!!

Topic: Angel update for Brenda in Arizona!
I spoke with Brenda's mother this afternoon, and her surgery went very well. Brenda was resting when I called. Remember surgery day? Gosh, I was totally out of it too!! I just wanted to sleep! So she is on ice chips today and after the leak test tomorrow she can have liquids. They were able to do surgery laproscopically and so all is well there. Her recovery is going to be a snap. Lap rocks!! I'll call her tomorrow and see how she's doing on day 2. Please post some thoughts, concern and support on Brenda's surgery page below. I will print this out and fax this to the hospital Tuesday afternoon for the nurses to give to her. Her surgery is 2.5 hrs north of me, otherwise I'd deliver it in person. So please post some encouraging words on her site below (even if you have already posted before her surgery). She needs support right now more than ever!!! http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/status.phtml?N=c1108829304 Brenda's , Trisha

Let's try to get this board moving! We know it's easy to become addicted to scrapbooking so my guess is that people either don't know we're here or are too busy scrapping. Whatever, we still need to support each other. If you are here- even just looking please log in with your name and state. Perhaps we can build a group to share ideas and materials. Hi Joy, Welcome. I have started my book even though my surgery isn't until June. I am doing layouts showing the types of things I did and want to do later. I intend for this to be a personal item that I probably won't share with many people so I am emphasizing my emotions when I look at the pictures. It will be my trump card for when things seem rough. Good luck with yours. Cheryl

Topic: An update on Bryna... By Bryna!!!
I am on the LOOOOOOsing side!!!! Praise God from whom all blessings flow!!!!!! I came through surgery without a hitch. I have to go to Dr. Houston's for some bloodwork today because of a bloody stool but I believe all will be well. I have not had that much pain and what I have had has been manageable, no nausea, no vomiting and no rejection of protein drink!! PLUS...I have been able to get all of my fluids and protein in on Wednesday and Thursday without trouble drinking!! The main problem has been lack of energy. I have not had the energy I had before the surgery and so it has been a real mental battle for me to overcome the fact that I cannot do all the things I did only 5 days ago. I know I will soon and that is a hope I cling to. I have had major surgery- what was I really expecting?? Thanks to my Piper and to everyone at OH for the prayers, well wishes and posts. It is such a blessing to have you all on my side. For those who are pre-op- Pray, prepare, and pray some more and you will be in great shape!! I know this is the best decision I have made in my life besides marrying my DH!! The Anchor Holds!! Bryna
