Topic: RE: Love Scrapbooking
I can't believe I found you guys.
I used to be a Creative Memories Consultant, but the company went through too many changes for me, and I had another child, so I quit. I was just thinking this morning that I need to get all by supplies set up so that I can scrapbook while at the hospital and in recovery.
I never even thought about a wls scrapbook-you guys rock.
Topic: RE: Stamps? Anyone? Anyone?

Topic: Stamps? Anyone? Anyone?
SO I see we are a huge group of Scrapbookers...
Does anyone stamp? Incorporate stamps in their scrapbooking?
I love making cards, tiles, boxes, specials little things here and there.
I was just curious!
Thanks...xoxoxojenn

Halo!
1) How long? Scrapin for 10, stampin' for 2!
2) Its a miss mosh of all types of things...I would love to do a 6x6 book
of a year in the life of...my kids...but we shall see
3) Supplies...just give me blank paper, plenty of ink and stamps! I can
create my own backgrounds....
4) StampinUp.com....see me at www.jenniferuitto.stampinup.com
(sorry I am biased...I will be the first to admit it!)
5) I am going to start a WLS book this weekend. I want to do a weekly picture but not sure about that yet. Then do a journal on how I was feeling...Maybe a small one I love the 6x6 size! A picture on one side and journal on the other...sounds good to me!
I am so glad this thread is picking up! I checked it out a while back and didn't seem to active!!! Yippeeeee!! We have crafters!!!

Hello Everyone!
My name is Jenn I live in Illinois, as you can see I am sure. I had lap RNY on 4/18/05 so I am a brand new newbie!!! I started myself of regular high protein foods b/c I couldn't do the puree stuff. The texture was making me gag...and you know what follows! So I chew pretty much till its just juicey and then let it go down. I have had some issues with some getting stuck b/c it wasn't chewed enough...so I watch it big time now. I tried a Frito and had a reaction to it....and had a small piece of a chocolate donut..and had no problems. I would much rather have issues w/sugar...but b/c I know it can come on at anytime...I stay clear away from them. I even make koolaid at home for me and my family (hubby, 2 girls and 1 boy) w/ splenda. Its a nice yummy break from water.
This week its been bad for me...I am really hungry...maybe pms, who knows.
But onto the subject at hand!
I love to scrapbook and Stampin' is my passion. I am a Stampin' Up demo, so I am biased...but share lots of ideas.
I think its a great idea to have a small scrapbook on my progress. I think I will start that this weekend...even though I HATE having pictures taken of myself.
So what are your crafty passions? I love making cards! I scrapped for 10yrs and got tired of it and turned my attention to stampin...I was hooked after 1 party.
THis is a great board! Thanks for reminding me about it!

Hi Judy!
So glad you came through your surgery so well. Already thinking about scrapping! I love to scrap too. Since I've been off work I've started a WLS scrapbook too. I finished all of my grandson's book up to the present. Also started shopping for my trip to China and Japan in September, found some really cute embellishments for the pages. How did your pics turn out at the Tom's farm get together. Are you going to the Corona Pac Bar support mtg?
Hope you continue to get better. You'll feel like scrapping in no time. Thinking about it is the first step!
Hugs, Terry

Hi - I am new to this board. I usually stick with the Illinois Board but since scrapbooking is my passion, I thought I would check this board out!!
1. How long have you been scrapbooking?
I have been scrapping about 6 years now, give or take a year.
How did you get started?
I saw how awesome my sisters books were and knew I had to go one. I am now on my 8th book!!
2. Do you have any general themes or topics?
I mainly scrap my son's life. I have been known to add pages about my life in there but not very often. I plan on doing pages in it to document my surgery and my journey
3. What supplies are important or make life easier for you?
Wow, that one is hard. I would have to say I love my 12" straight cutter
4. Have you found any really good shops, online sites, etc.?
Sorry, I am a home demonstrator, have to stick with my products
5. Are you doing a WLS book? If so, any suggestions for it?
I am not since I am pre-op but I certainly plan on doing pages if not a small 7x7 book about my journey.
I am so glad to see that this forum is active and so many nice people!!
I look forward to "meeting" all of you!
Nancy
Hoping to submit to insurance next week!!!

Trisha,
Be careful where you are when you try a sweet! I am 6 months out and I am an "occasional dumper"! I never know when it will hit me wrong! One day I was in the mall with my daughter and we were on a mission to find a particular item, not just browsing! I stopped and got an iced mocha from the coffee shop... OHMYGAWD, it hit me like a ton of bricks! I only had about a third of it and it was a small... I felt like I was going to PASS OUT. I even sat down and put my head down as far as it would go. Poor baby girl (she's 10) was so scared I won't take that chance again... not unless my DH is with me.
Now what is weird is I have this SAME drink a few times a month... just never know when it will hit me. I have this happen with eating sweets also. I usually only take a bite or two if I have something sweet and I just never know when it will cause me to DUMP (my dump is like a diabetic would feel with low blood sugar... like I am going to pass out and I YAWN horribly!).
BEWARE!
Donna
6 months and minus 75 pounds!

ps thanks for the invite to the board

1. About a week this time. I started about 8 years ago, then had my son (third child) and never "got around to it"!
2. No themes. But my general excuse for NOT scrapping is I have 15 years worth of pictures I'd have to organize before I could do it. UGH.
3. Don't know about scrapping materials, but I DO stamp (actually I'm a Stampin' UP! demonstrator) and I would have to say my paper cutter... couldn't cut a straight line if my life depended on it!
4. Online sites for scrapping... Not YET
5. I doubt I will do a WLS book... I can't stand pics of me BEFORE wls! Unless it's the Before Kids pics.. them I'm good, lol
Topic: RE: We have new people joining!
Sorry for the newbie questions... do you scrap it for real or do it all on the computer and print it out? What programs do you need on the puter to do that?
Thanks,
Donna
