Hey Judy,
Thanks for the idea of saving things from the hospital. I hadn't thought of that but I sure will "borrow" your idea. Like most of us, I don't have too many pre-surgury pictures. So this will really help. Hope everything is going well for you. Take care,
Cheryl

Hey Cheryl..
I have just recently started scrapbooking and stamping. My wonderful friend decided to start selling it and I got hooked! I haven't really gotten anything done yet, waiting to get a good supply of stuff gathered. My first book is going to be my oldest sons. He wrote a letter to the President this year for school and recieved a letter and picture back. Was awesome! So that's what I'm doing first. My friend now sells the Stampin Up products so I'm in good!
I'm also going to do a scrapbook on my WLS! I think that was an awesome idea, I had never thought about it.

Hate to sound silly but what it is that you mean by page swaps or card swaps? I just recently got 'pulled' into scrapbooking and I and hooked.. bad.. just spent 70 bucks
I never thought about doing one for my WLS journey but I'm a thinkin I'm gonna have to start one now!
Thanks for the info..

Hi Trisha & others,
I am right there with you... 3 months out.... I have a hard time with the eating things... :puke: alot. Should be having another barium swallow test next week and find out what is going on. I do dump on sugar (I kinda feel lucky). Most times though the sweet things taste gross to me.
I have been a consultant for darn near every company out there (except Stampin Up CTMH).... Creative Memories, Scrap In A Snap, Leaving Prints... anyway... I love all of them and love scrapbooking.. unfortunately my hands don't love it. I have had 4 hand surgeries and can't do that much without pain & my fine motor skills are toast. Oh well.. so I make my baby sitters help me (nice to have so many high school kids nearby).
So ... 73 pounds down...

Hi,
I'm Dixie, from Iowa & I have been a scrapbooker for close to 10 years now. I mostly scrap digitally now but have so much invested in the paper kind of scrapping that I can't afford to go totally digital.
I have no general themes but love to make heritage type layouts the best. In several months I'll finally be able to make baby layouts- first grandchild due in December.
I love www.scrapbook-elements.com for buying digital elements. they have some really talented designers. I also love www.scrapbook-bytes.com for all the freebies as well as their shop.
I didn't do a WLS scrapbook. Like someone else mentioned, I didn't like getting my pictures taken & really didn't want to chronical my "journey." Now I wish I did do it. I did make an album of my tummy tuck procedure. It's digital & you can see it online if you want to. It's at

There are a few pages that if you are squeemish, you may not want to see. My surgeon took pictures during my surgery!

My name is Sue and I've been scrapbooking for about 7-8 years now. My boss got me started...we used to make fun of her and then my daughter was in a local production of the musical Hair. She enticed me with the tie-died paper and the disco ball stickers. Yep, I got hooked.
So far I've done a book for my daugheter's musical accolades, my daughter's high school years and my husbands educational journey to his masters degree. I'm working on my daughter's bdays now (16 and up, she's 20), then I'll have to go back to when she was a baby. My mother-in-law is turning 90 this fall so I'm planning on doing some kind of book for her.
I just attended the scrapbook expo in Villa Park, IL last month and had a ball. My friend and I always take classed and then do the crop on Fridays.
This year I bought the new eyelet tool with a giant spring so there's no hammering...it's easy to use.
I guess I should consider doing a WLS book, thanks for the suggestion.
Happy Scrapping!

Wow Trish, you're doing great.
My name is Sue and I live in the Chicago area. I've finally got all my clearances into the surgeon and am now just waiting for a date. I thought I would get it right away but have to wait until Mon or Tue....I've been waiting so long! I'm very encouraged by your progress!
Are you also a scrapbooker? I love to scrap, I get together with the girls about once a month.
Keep up the good work!

Guess we're all a bunch of LOSERS, huh? The pics at Tom's Farm came out great. I also had my daughter take some pics in bra and undies the night before surgery. I don't think those are going in the scrapbook!! I have all the paper, embellishments, pics, etc for the WLS scrapbook, just can't decide what size I want it to be. First I thought I'd do a cute 6x6, then it changed to 8x8. Now I'm considering 12x12! I just have to make up my mind. How fun to go to China and Japan! I was in Japan with a group of teachers in '96. Boy, I can taste that sushi now! YUM!!! I am still on pureed foods and hope to start shrimp and tuna tomorrow. Don't know how many pounds I've lost, but I totally missed out on the 18's in my closet. I went from 20 to 16 in two weeks. Not too shabby, huh?
Hugs back, Judy

Hi Gals,
I used to come here but the board was so dead I quit coming. Glad I stopped in & saw it was getting more lively.
I am 17 months out. Down 162 lbs from the starting weight of 342#. The best thing I ever did for myself! The second best thing I did was a TT just 2 months ago. I now have a flat & super tight tummy, something I don't remember ever having. Next step--- my thighs, yech!
I was super sensitive about my weight so decided not to make a scrapbook of my WLS but did of the TT. If you would like to see it you can check it out at
http://www.kodakgallery.com/BrowsePhotos.jsp?&collid=268223953203&page=1&sort_order=0 Warning, somepages are a bit graphic----bloody.
In case you can't tell this is digital scrapbooking, something I have gotten into over the last couple years. I love the normal way of scrapbooking but really enjoy the fun of doing it on the computer.

I found you guys on the main message board.
Been scrapping for nine years, used to be a creative memories consultant.
My poor three year old doesn't even have a scrapbook yet-I plan on getting it organized this summer,(we moved into a house two years ago, and are just now getting to go through all the storage stuff). You know how it is when you work full time and have little ones-I also had them late!
