Call me crazy, but now I wish I had been in more pictures pre WLS! Save everything at the hospital. I just asked the nurse or doctor to NOT throw something away so I could have it for my scrapbook, and they were most accommodating. Good luck to you in your surgery. Just over a month away, huh?? Wow, this is great! WLS buddies and stampin buddies all in one...woohoo I have been stampin for10 or more years-seems like forever. I love to make cards, but just saw a book where people did a 6 x 6 recipe page swap and I am fired up to do that.I think I could doa 6x6 page . I have been waiting for surgery since last october. I was approved and was to have surgery in February, then the insurance company asked if I had any break in insurance coverage as I had been unemployed for awhile and sure enough there was a small lapse.Thank goodness they found out before surgery or I would have had to pay for it all instead of "just" the out of network charges, which are bad enough. So, I have to be with this insurance company a year before it is covered partially and that will be July 1. My approval at least is still good. I call my surgeon the end of this month and hope to have my surgery date then.I am hoping for July 1=the first day it is covered=lol.

Tracie-a swap is where you make, say 5 of the same cards/pages and then everyone "swaps" or sends them to 5 other people and you end up with 5 diffent cards/pages from others. Depends on how many people are in the swap-my last one was 28 people-lol

Jennifer, I am a stamper-don't do much with scrapbooking, but would love to do a swap if there is enough interest. Cards are one of my outlets. Hope there is interest. luci

Duh???????? I can't believe I never did this. Thanks Trisha. 1. How long have you been scrapbooking? How did you get started? I've been at this for about 6 years, give or take. A friend's sister had a stamping party but I thought that looked too much like work. I need instant gratification. The consultant also did scrapbooking so...it was off to the races...and the bank! 2. Do you have any general themes or topics? I do whatever hits me at the moment. I travel quite a bit so I have about 4 albums just of trips. 3. What supplies are important or make life easier for you? I love my Xyron machine, Wacky Tac products (especially for vellum), Perfect Layers for matting, and a True-Color light. 4. Have you found any really good shops, online sites, etc.? Oh my gosh!!!!!!! I am known by name at Michael's, AC Moore, and Joanne Etc. There are really good buys here at Target, WalMart, and believe it or not - in the notions dept. and small tool areas in hardware stores. I use www.scrapyourtrip.com, QVC, HSN, and www.TimesToCherish.com 5. Are you doing a WLS book? If so, any suggestions for it? I am and actually "borrowed" an idea from this board. I am rapidly becoming enthralled with the 8x8" format. It is much faster and better for one theme albums. Take care. Cheryl

Hi again Trisha, Hey- looks like we were finally able to get others onboard! It was quite a chore for a while. Anyway..... I'm Cheryl and live in Maryland. My WLS is scheduled for June 20 (10 days after returning from a cruise). Actually, it will be a "two-fer"; I have growths on my thyroid which may be malignant so it has to be removed. Remarkedly, the two surgeons know each other, work at the same hospital, and even operate on the same day of the week. Finally, something went my way! I have been scrapping for about 6 years or so. A friend got me started and I got me addicted. Great grammar, huh? I am afraid the when I have my surgery several craft stores may go out of business! My craft room looks like a store. Unfortunately, I have located some great sites online. I do separate books for travel, special events and family traditions. I am currently working on an 8x8 bok for family recipes for my niece as well as a 12x12 of her relationship leading to her wedding in the fall. I have started a WLS also. I have tons of materials which I will never use. I was thinking of posting a general list to see who can use some of the things. They are just taking up space. Take care. Cheryl

Terry, I found some great embellishments at scrapyourtrip.com. The whole site is dedicated to travel items. Sounds like a great trip. Cheryl
