Topic: RE: Scrapbook Addict - looking forward to meeting you guys!
Thanks, Luci!
I love card-making because without pictures involved it is SOOOO much easier to create for me.
Just pick out 2-3 colors and slap down some paper and embellishments and sooner than you think, some great ideas will come to you.
I love inspiration in books too. I just bought Designing with Stamps, and it is very nice. I love the Chatterbox idea books too.
It takes me a long time to create -- but I always love the end result. So I'll be seeing you here as my midnight muse usually doesn't let me sleep until then!

Praying for an easy and successful surgery. I know you will do great and will soon be losing. I am more of a stamper, but trying to catch the scrapbooker bug-my problem is I think to much...takes me a long time to design a card and having the same problem with a page. I am starting out with a 6x6 to make it easier. Welcome Luci
Topic: Links and pictures
Since we can't post links and pictures on OH... and it is important to show off our work! I opened a yahoo group for us.
Keep the chatter to a minimum on there though as we want this to be our "message board" but we can post links and pictures over there...

(take out the spaces and you will be there)

BTW Jenn I am wearing my new Tinkerbell Perfect Pixie t-shirt today.... and it is in a Juniors extra-large! I love tink!

I love pink! But I tend to stick with blues and yellows lately. I have boys... for some reason pink just usually doesn't go
The more you work with embellishments the quicker you get at them. I went to a CTMH class/party and we made a Mothers Day tag.... since I had so much experience with eyelets and fibers I was done in no time compared to the people that haven't done it so much.
I do like the quick things too so I buy three dimensional die cuts that look like I did alot of work but really didn't.

Sorry to hear about your hands. It probably isn't anything near carpal tunnel -- but I am familiar with how that affects creativity. My best friend has that something fierce and really needs the surgery for it. I just bought her a Spellbinders Wizard to use for dry embossing with her brass stencils. She loves the look, but it is murder on her hands. I can't wait for it to get here!
And the icon is a RIOT!
I'm going to have to get more on top of the terms here. Is stricture like a blockage?

So what is the name/link for the Yahoo Group? That way we could share pics and stuff. Or does HTML work here? I'll try:

Just threw in a picture on my scrap area, right after I finished 'building' and organizing it. Love IKEA!

Yep, as you saw I had my surgery in March. Yeah. I have a stricture that I am in the process of getting taken care of... a pretty uneventful recovery other than that darn but it doesn't keep me down.
Wow! You have 80 people on your team! That is amazing! I am impressed.
My problem now is that I have had 4 hand surgeries and they aren't what they used to be. I don't scrap as much as I want to... I try to get people to help me as they hurt so quickly. Hopefully after my next surgery I will get my fine motor skills back. I was hoping losing weight would help but so far it hasn't. My hand surgeon didn't think it would help... guess he knew what he was talking about.
Congratulations on your surgery! I know I was so excited leading up to it!

I have been in on some embellishment swaps before too! They are great! I love purple & pinks too... however... having two boys they tend not to go with anything
IKEA!!! I love IKEA and the worst thing ever is happening! They are building an Ikea in West Sacramento (very close to my home). The nearest one right now is just north of San Francisco about 1.5 hours away.
I love the CTMH papers too.. there are so many options.. I have lots of them. I am not into many patterned papers anyway. I am more what can you put on it
Very good idea on the vellum. I never thought of doing that. I have not scrapped with anyone else in a long time. Especially not anyone that is "up to date" on scrapbooking. Most of my friends know & love the CM way so when they see my pages they are astounded at all the "stuff".
OK I made an OH Scrapbookers yahoo group. I would love to keep our discussions on here. Perhaps we can use the yahoo group to post links & pictures.
