Great idea Judy.... I have done the same at local office supply stores but, of course, there are no freebies there. I bought some small hinges at A.C. Moore but they were somewhat expensive. I think the next stop for that kind of thing will be Home Depot or Lowes. Thanks for the thought. Cheryl

I don't have any samples myself, but I think that there are tons posted at 2peas. http://www.twopeasinabucket.com There are some amazing card makers over there. Just look in the peanut gallery and search for wedding invites. I'm sure you'll find a bunch. HTH, Amanda

I have a whole bunch of the paint chip samples and even some laminate samples, but I have yet to use them. I just can't seem to find the right page for them yet. I feel the need for a trip to Lowe's....no Home Depot around here. Amanda

Anyone have any good ideas on handmade wedding invitations? My best friend's daughter is getting married in September and she has decided that she wants to make her own invites. She knows she wants some sort of vellum overlay over a picture and inside wants some sort of pockets to hold the postcard response card and the directions. BUT - this girl does not want them to look scrapbooky!!! Anyone able to help? Got any pictures or samples?? Judy

My favorite thing to do is roam throughout Home Depot looking for embellishments. There are little hinges, washers, screens, etc at very very good prices. The paint samples are my favorites right now. And, they are FREE!!! There are Mickey paint samples in lots a great colors. The Mickey peels right off the paper. There are also some paint samples that are textured. My daughter and I used these throughout scrapbooks we worked on last summer. Some look just like sand and worked well on beach pages. We like these samples because they are square and have no writing on the front. They also come in all kinds of great colors. We just run them through our sticker maker and they are ready to use!! Ask one of the nice people in the paint section and they will tell you to take what you want. Happy scrappin' and stampin'! Judy

My daughter and I had a QVC party on Thursday and we met at my house when we were both finished in our classrooms. We ordered four things that we "NEEEDED" (like a hole in the head!!) this time. I love QVC shows, but they can be dangerous. We also just got a big box of goodies from the Orienta Trading CO. Talk about bargains for scrappers and stampers! Embellishments, tools, and paper, at super prices. Check them out at Orientaltrading.com. Type in scrapbook in the search box. We can't wait to place another order of things we NEED!!! Judy
