Hi Amanda,
So far QVC is the only place to get Perfect Layers. Every once in a while you can find it on Ebay but, by the time you pay shipping, it's usually more than the price on tv. I couldn't mat anything without it- I ended up cutting closer and closer just to get things even. It never looked good. Then I found this tool - it is great!
I feel relieved. I'll be on a cruise that day so I can't buy!

Hi Amanda,
I found it helpful to write explaining how I felt and why I wanted the WLS. That helped solidify in my mind what I really wanted and why. 
Then, when I went to my PCP I had a basic outline of what I wanted to say. He was somewhat surprised but at least I didn't stumble over my own words. It was clear, concise, and factual. Good luck.

Somehow I missed these. So I'll go ahead and introduce myself.
My name is Amanda. I'm 26 years old. I'm in the process of trying to get approved for WLS. I have a feeling that I have a long road ahead of me before I do, but it will be worth it in the long run.
I've been scrapping off and on since 1997, when I was a senior in high school. We can blame my grandmother and aunt for my addiction. 
My grandmother made an album for all 7 of her kids and one for herself for Christmas that year. She started in July...and it went down to the wire on finishing it. I still love looking at the book. There are pictures from several generations back..which is just awesome.
I have a 19 month old little boy, Tay. I've got probably less than 30 pages done since he was born. 
But he is the most photographed child around. My SO's mother bought us a digi camera for Christmas in 2003, and I've been snapping pictures ever since. After my surgery I would love to go to school to take a few photography classes. Since having Tay I've discovered a hidden passion for photography.
I guess that about sums it up. I'm pretty boring

Oh, no! Not more QVC. The recent show cost me over $100. I probably shouldn'****ch this one at all. I always tape all scrapbook shows and refer to the tapes later. Maybe that would be safer for me!!

I watched part of the last show on QVC, which was a first for me. And I've decided that I should never watch one again. I wanted EVERYTHING! This is also why my trips to the LSS are few and far between.
I keep hearing about the perfect layers and would like one. Is QVC the only place you can get it?

I finally got all my cards and stuff from Medicaid, and now I have to make an appointment with my new doctor. (Had to pick a new one because we moved into a different county.) I plan on calling tomorrow, I'm almost out of my pain and anxiety meds. So I need to get them ASAP.
But how do I bring up the weight loss surgery issue with her? I've gone to her before, as has my mother...but I'm still a bit nervous about it. Any ideas? Any tips on what I should ask her?
I was thinking that I need to call my previous doctor and ask her to write a letter for me saying that she thinks WLS would be medically necessary for me.

How are y'all doing on your challenge layouts? I've surprised myself and have 2 of them done already 
I've got to find some pictures to do the 3rd one. In addition to doing the 2 for the challenge, I've also done 2 others since Sunday night! I would post pictures of them, but the batteries in my digi are dead as a doornail. My friend and her little boy came over today so I could do his 7 month pictures, and that drained my batteries. So posting the layouts will have to wait until I can get my SO to go to Wally World for me.
