Ladies, ladies... I am excited to see so many of you creating scrapbooks of your weight loss journey. I am a Creative Memories consultant. I had my surgery Nov. 4 and am down 93 pounds. I, of course, did a scrapbook to document my journey. I never want to forget how hard the journey was. My album consists of a before photo of my girlfriend and I (she had her surgery 4 weeks after me) in front of the Roly Poly sign. Yes, we must laugh at ourselves. I also included my letters of recommendation from physicians as well as the big letter of approval from insurance. Then I included all the greetings and well wishes from friends upon obtaining a surgery date. I used calendar pages to then document the day of surgery, and the weight loss following. I make sure to put photos on the calendar pages as well as document my weight and measurements (don't forget those measurements). I also jot down milestones like being able to buckle my dance shoes with ease or where a normal size bath towel around me. Hope these ideas help you in creating your scrapbook...in celebration of YOU. Cindy

I love working with my pictures too. I wanted to do a book of my weight loss journey, but so far I've only taken 2 sets of pictures. As I lose weight I hope to take more to document how much nicer it is when you're not carrying around so much weight. I need ideas.

Lots of thanks to all of you for your great ideas! We had our surgery on July 18th and you bet we took the camera! I have a great shot of us in the same hospital room trying to hold hands! I started journaling last march of 2002 and I have been taking pictures all the way! I love creative memories stuff and I have a lot of STUFF! I was thinking of getting the natural album. I just love everybodys suggestons!

That is such a great idea. I should have thought of that considering I ama Creative Memories consultant. So far, all I can do is pre-op pictures and then the materials I have picked up from Doc Fisher's first step - the orientation and then the intake meeting. What other things can you suggest from the pre-op stage? We sell a package for the 12 x 12 album called This is your Life. I think that will be the package I use for the stickers, layout, etc. HUGS Sheila

Hi Kathy....I had my surgery one Monday, May 13th, 2002. That is another special day to me...It's my daughters birthday...she turned 8 the day I had my surgery. I started scrapbooking the morning of my surgery...I had my before pictures taken and that got me hooked. Its been over a year now and I'm on my 5th or 6th book. I really enjoy scrappin', it is so relaxing. I have one book of my weightloss, one and and half started of my daugter, and a couple family books. Some of my pages are of me at my 30th birthday party, partying with friends, the night I hit and killed a deer (I got pics of my and the cop, and of my husband and dad loading the deer into the truck), my sixth months comparison...what a difference, and lots of other things. One of the pages I like the most is of me skiing...I haden't skied in like 16+ years, I still didn't like it, but the page was fun to scrap. Good luck to you.....
