You are going to love it! I've done all kinds of crafts for years, but just started scrapping last November. I am hooked!! My best friend and I are even opening a scrapbook store very soon. Haven't made a final decision about which city it will be in yet. I'm in San Antonio, TX right now and we already have 6 places here, so this city is out!!

My scrapbook shows my journey from pre-op even showing childhood pictures to my most recent pic on my one year post-op. I found a some medical stickers at a.c. moore that included several stickers that I was able to use. They included stickers that said ouch, band-aides, a syringe, stethoscope, medicine bottle, etc... and a scale like you would find in many doctor's offices. I have a picture of my incision close up with thestaples that I used the ouch! stickers for. Every month on my anniversary date I have a picture taken and add it to the scrapbook and journal. This book is very personal to me, but one that I love to share with others. Sometimes you just don't realize the physicalchanges that you go are going through until you see the pictures.
Best wishes on your journey!

I am an ex consultant, but am still scrapping. Is the book your are talking about and 8 1/2 by 11?
I wish there were calendar pages for that book, but I have made some pages by going to template on the internet and printing out a blank calendar and putting in my book. I want to chart everything and keeping an up to date calendar keeps me on track.

Have you ever done paper piecing? You can punch a circle out and make your own scale. If you can find some photos on line you can print them out and just stick them in your scrapbook. Or maybe some things would come out of a fitness magazine you could copy on Acid free paper and trim out and adhere to book.

Yes, A Difference a year can make is a great title for the book.
Also what I am doing is a calendar spread for each month. You can copy a blank calendar and write in your own dates with memos about what has happened each month with your success and a few photos for that month.
Maybe put what problems or successes within that month.

Topic: Awesome Scrapbook supplies...
There is a wonderful store in Dallas and one in Frisco called "Recollections"...they are owned by Michael's and get the newest stuff. tons of really great stuff, lots of classes (some basic classes are free). I'm headed there this afternoon...skipping out of work early.
The one in Dallas is in the Old Town area...Lovers Lane and Greenville Ave...northeast corner.
The one in Frisco is on Preston...in that big shopping area.

I would like to recommend www.twopeasinabucket.com
they have a gallery and some of the very most talented scrappers anywhere. While you are at home recuping, check it out. don't let it overwhelm you. they are pros and can sometimes it feels intimidating.
I will pray for your successful surgery and speedy recovery...then we;ll get to scrapping those pics!!!
Hugs.

Wendy,
Thanks for sharing these. They really are cute. Now I've just got to learn more about it and how to get started. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi all,
Thanks to Wendy Blakely for posting about your board on our state board I am now excited to learn about learning this craft to document my journey which begins tomorrow. I will bookmark this board and hopefully learn a lot from it and make some new friends. Please say a prayer for me as my surgery is at 7:30 tomorrow morning.
Blessings to all,
Tamara
