Topic: how are you scrapping your WLS journey?
I am doing a 12 x 12 for me...and a 6x6 to carry around for 'show and tell'.
I already have started both. I purchased my 6 x 6 at Target...where they are now carrying some pretty cool stuff. Got the paper palette..it only took about 12 sheets altogether since you can cut 4 backgrounds from each and the book itself only has 30 pages. A few embellishments and I'll be ready to show it off!

Heather,
I am new also. Welcome. I had my surgery 2 years ago and love it love it. The first couple of months is tough but hang in there it get easier as time goes on. You will not belive yourself in 3, 6, 12, 18 months and so on.
Take tons of pictures. That is the one thing that I did not want. I guess I was afraid of failure and did not the pictures to remind me of one more "diet" that did not work. So take tons from every dirction, in bathing suits, close up and full length. You will cherish those pictures. They will document your progress and show you how far you have come. When I feel sorry for myself or want to eat everything in sight I take out my few pictures I have of me at my largest and look at them. Bam..I'm back in control.
I love to scrap - I started it after my sugery as I had time on my hands then.
Good luck April 13, I will be thinking of you!

A GREAT way to get started is to contact a Creative Memories Consultant in your area (creativememories.com). She will be able to get you started and provide you with beautiful, quality products. She will also steer you towards completing albums with simple, classic pages. Creative Memories really started the scrapbooking phenomena. (No, I'm not a consultant, just love their products!)

Here is the web site address of the store i use, which is my best friends moms store.
www.scrapbookalleystore.com
If you are just getting started.. a good idea is to go to your local, barnes and nobels or borders book store where you can look at magazines. there are many scrapbook magazines,, such as memory makers, home and garden have one, just sit and look at other peoples idears. Stores such as Wal-mart have scrapbook sections and remember use acid free products it will say it on there labels and do not use magnetic photo albums or books..... they fade your photos....

Topic: Pictures that you dont want the photo people to see...
I love scrapbooking, but here is a PHOTO tip.... (I am a one hour photo associate)
A) if you dont want anyone to see the pictures do not do ONE HOUR PHOTO! Most machines are set that the person doing the pictures sees them. Its hard when you want to take pictures of your self and track your progress. Use a two day service or a send out service that way no one sees you in your skimpys....
B(Another tip is, to take pictures in all directions.. front,, back,, left side,, right side,, that way everytime you take a new set you see the diffrence.
C) Put the date in the picture, by holding todays paper or writing it on a peice of paper and holding in front of the picture. Or set your camera to the date mode.. that way you can tell which is first and next in you time line.
email me if you have any questions.. i would love to help
