WLS projects?
Hey everyone!
One thing that I plan on doing for my WLS journey is to make an altered book/scrapbook for myself. I am primarily a stamper who focuses on altered art/collage etc. (I do card stamping and scrapbooking for my biz as a Stampin Up demo).
So I'm curious to know if you've undertaken a similar goal. What will your book/album look like? Did you focus on before and after? When did your timeline start? I'd love to hear what you're working on as it pertains to your WLS.
I am starting my planning now. I think I'm going to create a book using the cover from an old hardcover book. I'm going to gut the book and create my own page folios. And I envision using transparencies. I'd like to layer them so it shows a progession. I'm also thinking of doing body shots of myself, but also doing shots of just my eyes--because I think that my eyes are something constant about myself.
And, if you've done similar projects, would you mind posting a link? I'd love to see them.

Jen,
Yeah welcome!!! You should join our yahoo group! We share some stuff on there....I am also a SU! demo! Small world. Most of us have started or will be starting a WLS journey book. We just did a "Thank You" card swap and finishing up on a 6x6 dual page swap. Its been a fun start to our swapping! Thru our OHscrappers yahoo group we have posted some projects, but none of the WLS journey ones. If you want to join us, send me your email and I will send you the invite! xoxoxojenn
Jen,
Welcome! I think we should all scrapbook ourselves. Definitely take the before photos. They are so important. I try to take photos every month. I will be doing a 6x6 for my WLS journey.
You would think your eyes stay the same.... but look at some of the before & after photos. I am amazed how much they change.
Happy Scrappin',

I am still in the collecting stage for my WLS scrapbook. LOL Need to get started on it. I'm over 3 months out and 77 lbs down and time is getting away from me!!
Save EVERYTHING from the hospital, even the little menus they bring with your "meals", hospital wrist band, acceptance letter from insurance company, labels of protein mixes, etc. It's better to have too much embelishments than not enough!! So good idea to start now!
And take a BEFORE photo of you a day or two before surgery - face shot, medium shot and ful-body shot, even side views and back views!! And also take measurements. I totally forgot about measurements until 5 days after my surgery!! So take them pre-op!! Measure everything - head, face (ear-to-ear), below *****ear-to-ear), shoulder-to-shoulder, neck, bust, waist, upper arms, forearms, wrists, fists, hips, upper thighs, knees, calves, ankles and feet. And whatever else you want to measure! Journal your loss of weight and inches and take pictures MONTHLY!! You'll see a difference in photos that you won't see in the mirror at first.
Eye photos are good. My eyes are less "swollen" than before surgery and look BIGGER. Less bloat. LOL You'll see a difference even in your eyes!
Hugs,
Trisha
