Hello My name is Sarah. I found this Message Board thru reading someone's profile. I have never done scrap books. My sister in law gave me an album and saved all my stuff from my wedding (10/23/04). I have no idea what to do or how to get started but I am excited and so is my husband. Is there a group that I may join? Any help to nudge me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. I also understand that everyone is pre or post WLS, right? I just started watching/recording on DIY the scrapbooking episodes too. Sarah - TN open rny 6/4/02 370/170

Sarah, First, welcome to the board. I truly love the DIY channel but don't get it anymore-it is only on digital cabel and I cut back to save for the surgery-a little here and there. If you have a scrapbooking or stamping store in your town they often have ideas on the walls and groups that meet. Check with people at church or any groups you are in and I bet you will find some scrappers. I have gotten a lot This site has a large gallery you can find ideas http://gallery.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=3594&page=50&perpage=12&what=allfields&=&action= Happy scrappin' and stampin' Luci

Welcome!! Sounds like you have a great start to your wedding album already! Have you ever bought a scrapbook magazine? They have several at Wal*Mart. I would think the best one would be either scrapbooks ETC or simple scrapbooks. Scrapbooks etc has step by step instructions in it, and the pages are really good. There are also books devoted to weddings you might look at Michaels or your local scrapbook store. If you haven't already joined the yahoo group here, I would do that. We've got a number of links there. Here are 2 of my favorite sites to go to for inspiration. www.scrapjazz.com www.twopeasinabucket.com I like watching the scrapbook show on DIY. Sandy is a greaat host. Thre's also a show on DIY called Greetings. It's for cardmaking. I've never watched it, but I hear that it's pretty good. A tip for you for your wedding album...make sure you get your husband involved. Have him do a page or 2. And journal journal...journal!! Get him to journal things as well. Sometimes it's interesting to have another point of view on the same thing. He might remember things that you don't and vice versa. Hope that helps! Feel free to email me if you have any questions! And welcome to the board! Amanda [email protected]

Hi, Sarah! Welcome aBOARD!!!! I'm pretty new to scrapbooking and stamping too - just started this year. I buy stuff more than actually doing it it seems lately!! This group has inspired me to be more active in scrapbooking/stamping!! I love it!! I'm post-op. Just over 3 months, 71 lbs down. Congrats on your weight loss!! Wow! 200 lbs is awesome. That's how much I had to lose too - well, now down to 130 or so. Yay!! Not so overwhelming as having to lose 200+ lbs!! But it's flying by! Glad you found us!! Please post often!! There's some newbies on here like us and some veteran experts here as well. You'll find some great info here!! Hugs, Trisha
