Congratulations! You are going to do great! (Believe in the power of positive thought!) Oh yes.. scrapbooking a way major addiction! Oooh.. you are a CTMH director! Way to go! I am patiently (ok not so patiently waiting) for my recent order. We are starting a scrapbooking club (I guess) with our local CTMH consultant. We will meet once a month and have to spend at least $20. We are actually her 2nd group... should be good. Hey maybe I should be a consultant and do our group.. I am so not a good consultant! I have been a consultant for so many companies and always spend more than I make... CM, Scrap In A Snap (noticed they don't exist anymore), Leaving Prints.. Tonya

You just have to love what you sell and it all works out well in the end. The customers just see how much you love 'your' product and its over... They are caught hook line and sinker....After all isn't that how all of us demo's and consultants got in.... Its a bug, a virus....ugh!!! I have it bad and there is no cure, nor do I want to be cured! xoxoxojenn PS: Love CTMH stuff. Stampin'Up! Demonstrator Scrapbooking/Stampin' since 1993

Tonya, you crack me up! And you are so cute! Have you already done WLS? CTMH is the only company I have ever been a consultant for, so you got me there, girlfriend! I had no intentions of selling anything -- I just WAY wanted a discount after I got my first catalog. My 'upline' is in Nebraska, because that is FAR FAR AWAY. LOL! she is a doll, but that was a requirement for me initially I was very gunshy about the whole thing, ya know? And look at me now! I enjoy the 'teaching' aspect of being a consultant. It is like teaching how to do new things and people just happen to buy stuff too. I am soooo comfortable with that. And with 80 people now on my team... I guess it works! LOL! So don't throw out the idea of becoming a consultant. If you *can* do better, you *should*! Let me know if you want to yak about it. My e-mail doesn't seem to link here, but it is [email protected]. Well, wish me luck. Friday still looks to be the day for my WLS. Egads! SL

Ok, a 'Well, DUH!' moment. It says you had surgery in March? How great you look! SL

Yep, as you saw I had my surgery in March. Yeah. I have a stricture that I am in the process of getting taken care of... a pretty uneventful recovery other than that darn but it doesn't keep me down. Wow! You have 80 people on your team! That is amazing! I am impressed. My problem now is that I have had 4 hand surgeries and they aren't what they used to be. I don't scrap as much as I want to... I try to get people to help me as they hurt so quickly. Hopefully after my next surgery I will get my fine motor skills back. I was hoping losing weight would help but so far it hasn't. My hand surgeon didn't think it would help... guess he knew what he was talking about. Congratulations on your surgery! I know I was so excited leading up to it! Tonya

Sorry to hear about your hands. It probably isn't anything near carpal tunnel -- but I am familiar with how that affects creativity. My best friend has that something fierce and really needs the surgery for it. I just bought her a Spellbinders Wizard to use for dry embossing with her brass stencils. She loves the look, but it is murder on her hands. I can't wait for it to get here! And the icon is a RIOT! I'm going to have to get more on top of the terms here. Is stricture like a blockage? SL

Sally Praying for an easy and successful surgery. I know you will do great and will soon be losing. I am more of a stamper, but trying to catch the scrapbooker bug-my problem is I think to much...takes me a long time to design a card and having the same problem with a page. I am starting out with a 6x6 to make it easier. Welcome Luci

Thanks, Luci! I love card-making because without pictures involved it is SOOOO much easier to create for me. Just pick out 2-3 colors and slap down some paper and embellishments and sooner than you think, some great ideas will come to you. I love inspiration in books too. I just bought Designing with Stamps, and it is very nice. I love the Chatterbox idea books too. It takes me a long time to create -- but I always love the end result. So I'll be seeing you here as my midnight muse usually doesn't let me sleep until then! SL

Congrats on your upcoming surgery!! Yay!! How exciting! Yep, scrapbooking/stamping gives my hands something to do vs. eating!! I just started in January this year, so am a newbie! SAVE EVERYTHING from your hospital stay - even the little menu slip that accompanies your drinks. I wish I saved mine. Take pics of nurses, surgeon, etc. Your WLS scrapbook is going to rock!!
