My WLS scrapbook
My daughter and I are avid scrappers. We use LOTS of embellishments and our books are very bumpy. While in the hospital for my surgery, I saved everything I could. I have the thin IV tubing, the rubber elastic bands that they put around your arm when inserting an IV (I have two of these - great as ribbon substitutes on a page), packages from the delightful lemon swabs (full and empty), the signed tape from my IV, two empty heprin bottles and one slightly larger pepsid bottle (these will be great for magic pixie dust), bandages, and various other things. I always asked the doctor or nurse if I could keep whatever it was for my scrapbook. I also took lots of pictures! Now if I could just get away from the TV and get started!!!

Hi Judy!
So glad you came through your surgery so well. Already thinking about scrapping! I love to scrap too. Since I've been off work I've started a WLS scrapbook too. I finished all of my grandson's book up to the present. Also started shopping for my trip to China and Japan in September, found some really cute embellishments for the pages. How did your pics turn out at the Tom's farm get together. Are you going to the Corona Pac Bar support mtg?
Hope you continue to get better. You'll feel like scrapping in no time. Thinking about it is the first step!
Hugs, Terry
Guess we're all a bunch of LOSERS, huh? The pics at Tom's Farm came out great. I also had my daughter take some pics in bra and undies the night before surgery. I don't think those are going in the scrapbook!! I have all the paper, embellishments, pics, etc for the WLS scrapbook, just can't decide what size I want it to be. First I thought I'd do a cute 6x6, then it changed to 8x8. Now I'm considering 12x12! I just have to make up my mind. How fun to go to China and Japan! I was in Japan with a group of teachers in '96. Boy, I can taste that sushi now! YUM!!! I am still on pureed foods and hope to start shrimp and tuna tomorrow. Don't know how many pounds I've lost, but I totally missed out on the 18's in my closet. I went from 20 to 16 in two weeks. Not too shabby, huh?
Hugs back, Judy
Call me crazy, but now I wish I had been in more pictures pre WLS! Save everything at the hospital. I just asked the nurse or doctor to NOT throw something away so I could have it for my scrapbook, and they were most accommodating. Good luck to you in your surgery. Just over a month away, huh??

I plan to sign a medical record release form this next week at my hospital and have them mail me a copy of my medical records, including labs, meals, etc. and putting those in my scrapbook. Too bad they dont' have the IV bags or stuff like that to send me.
But saving stuff while you are in hospital is a GREAT idea!!!!!
