We have new people joining!
Hi - I am new to this board. I usually stick with the Illinois Board but since scrapbooking is my passion, I thought I would check this board out!!
1. How long have you been scrapbooking?
I have been scrapping about 6 years now, give or take a year.
How did you get started?
I saw how awesome my sisters books were and knew I had to go one. I am now on my 8th book!!
2. Do you have any general themes or topics?
I mainly scrap my son's life. I have been known to add pages about my life in there but not very often. I plan on doing pages in it to document my surgery and my journey
3. What supplies are important or make life easier for you?
Wow, that one is hard. I would have to say I love my 12" straight cutter
4. Have you found any really good shops, online sites, etc.?
Sorry, I am a home demonstrator, have to stick with my products
5. Are you doing a WLS book? If so, any suggestions for it?
I am not since I am pre-op but I certainly plan on doing pages if not a small 7x7 book about my journey.
I am so glad to see that this forum is active and so many nice people!!
I look forward to "meeting" all of you!
Nancy
Hoping to submit to insurance next week!!!

Halo!
1) How long? Scrapin for 10, stampin' for 2!
2) Its a miss mosh of all types of things...I would love to do a 6x6 book
of a year in the life of...my kids...but we shall see
3) Supplies...just give me blank paper, plenty of ink and stamps! I can
create my own backgrounds....
4) StampinUp.com....see me at www.jenniferuitto.stampinup.com
(sorry I am biased...I will be the first to admit it!)
5) I am going to start a WLS book this weekend. I want to do a weekly picture but not sure about that yet. Then do a journal on how I was feeling...Maybe a small one I love the 6x6 size! A picture on one side and journal on the other...sounds good to me!
I am so glad this thread is picking up! I checked it out a while back and didn't seem to active!!! Yippeeeee!! We have crafters!!!

I found you guys on the main message board.
Been scrapping for nine years, used to be a creative memories consultant.
My poor three year old doesn't even have a scrapbook yet-I plan on getting it organized this summer,(we moved into a house two years ago, and are just now getting to go through all the storage stuff). You know how it is when you work full time and have little ones-I also had them late!
My name is Sue and I've been scrapbooking for about 7-8 years now. My boss got me started...we used to make fun of her and then my daughter was in a local production of the musical Hair. She enticed me with the tie-died paper and the disco ball stickers. Yep, I got hooked.
So far I've done a book for my daugheter's musical accolades, my daughter's high school years and my husbands educational journey to his masters degree. I'm working on my daughter's bdays now (16 and up, she's 20), then I'll have to go back to when she was a baby. My mother-in-law is turning 90 this fall so I'm planning on doing some kind of book for her.
I just attended the scrapbook expo in Villa Park, IL last month and had a ball. My friend and I always take classed and then do the crop on Fridays.
This year I bought the new eyelet tool with a giant spring so there's no hammering...it's easy to use.
I guess I should consider doing a WLS book, thanks for the suggestion.
Happy Scrapping!

Hi,
I'm Dixie, from Iowa & I have been a scrapbooker for close to 10 years now. I mostly scrap digitally now but have so much invested in the paper kind of scrapping that I can't afford to go totally digital.
I have no general themes but love to make heritage type layouts the best. In several months I'll finally be able to make baby layouts- first grandchild due in December.
I love www.scrapbook-elements.com for buying digital elements. they have some really talented designers. I also love www.scrapbook-bytes.com for all the freebies as well as their shop.
I didn't do a WLS scrapbook. Like someone else mentioned, I didn't like getting my pictures taken & really didn't want to chronical my "journey." Now I wish I did do it. I did make an album of my tummy tuck procedure. It's digital & you can see it online if you want to. It's at

There are a few pages that if you are squeemish, you may not want to see. My surgeon took pictures during my surgery!

Hey Cheryl..
I have just recently started scrapbooking and stamping. My wonderful friend decided to start selling it and I got hooked! I haven't really gotten anything done yet, waiting to get a good supply of stuff gathered. My first book is going to be my oldest sons. He wrote a letter to the President this year for school and recieved a letter and picture back. Was awesome! So that's what I'm doing first. My friend now sells the Stampin Up products so I'm in good!
I'm also going to do a scrapbook on my WLS! I think that was an awesome idea, I had never thought about it.

1. How long have you been scrapbooking? How did you get started?
I have been doing scrapping for about 3 years
2. Do you have any general themes or topics?
I just do whatever strikes my fancy... my books are in no particular order or theme... when I a want to scrap I just pull out a box of pictures and go for it. However, I do LOVE anything lumpy and bumpy.
3. What supplies are important or make life easier for you?
I LOVE my new hole punch/eyelet setter that doesn't need a hammer.
4. Have you found any really good shops, online sites, etc.?
When I first got into scrapping I was terrible about buying EVERYTHING but I have slowed down as I have more scrapping supplies than I could possibly use in ten years!
5. Are you doing a WLS book? If so, any suggestions for it?
Naw... it will just be a part of my life's journey and I don't have any plans on making it an individual book... heck NONE of my scrapping is organized so why start now
