Scrapbook room ideas?
Hi everyone
I was just wondering if anyone had any pictures of their scrapbook room or any good ideas of what a person should buy for shelving or a layout for a scrapbook room. My kids are getting too old to have a toy room, so I cleaned it out and am going to make a scrapbook room out of it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
mj
Hi Mj!
I've had a few rooms dedicated to my total love of scrapbooking, and just kinda-sorta finished organizing my own (I don't think I'm EVER done! I keep finding NEW ways to organize the stuff and I think I spend more time organizing than I do scrapbooking! )
Anyway, There is a book out that I found highly helpful! Its called "How to Organize your Scrapbook Workspace (storage solutions for any budget)" By Becky Higgins.
I also found www.littlebit.com/storage/rs-craftroom-help.htm to be VERY helpful with organization.
At the stage I am now with scrapbooking (signed on as a Creative Memories consultant in May of 2004 ) I am always adding more stuff to my inventory of supplies! Soooo.....I need all the help I can get too!!
Hope this helps!

Hi all!! I was asked if I wanted to become a CM consultant but although it was tempting, I declined. I want the freedom to do more than CM suggests. I could not sell their product without wanting to share all the other possibilities for embellishments!!
I DO love their albums and adhesives though!!

Mj, Glad you liked the sites! I love to organize which CAN be a downfall, since after im done organizing, a few weeks later, I feel like I need to RE-organize! LOL Anyway good luck with your room!
Hey Susan!
Ya know, I had gotten the offer to become a consultant Many Many years ago, and like you, I too didn't want to be limited to ONLY CM products. (Quite Frankly, I thought they were booorrring!!!!) LOL BUT....things have changed a bit over the years, and you ARE able to use other products in your albums that you take to shows, crops or use for display, just not allowed to sell them. Which would be hard unless you were signed up with another Scrapping Company that did home shows. Trust me....I have got almost all the goods out there in the scrap market today...not just CM! However, I discovered the quality that CM has after making a few albums that were not CM and finding them warping, or the tools breaking! Quality is key if it is going to last a lifetime! Currently, I am doing primarily CM type albums with added touches of whimsy.....got to dr. them up a bit, but I also am doing a few non-CM books like the one for my bf who is in the Nat'l Guard. CM just doesn't have enough military product to support a whole album so I guess it takes me outside the box you could say! LOL
Glad to see another Wisconsinite here! ;)
