I was just wondering if anyone has completed an album of the wls journey. What kind of stuff did you include. I am in the process of the surgery and am looking for idea's as to how to get started. You would think that being a Creative Memories Consultant I would have a clue but...hmmm. I did pick out the album though. I am going to use the Starr's Album. Because when this is all over I am going to look and feel like a star!! I cant wait! Thanks for listening...

Lisa, I think you could treat it kind of like a baby book - you know - weights and dates of office visits. Before Pics and pics during the process (maybe a pic for each new weight listed) Big Firsts - like when you are able to do something you hadn't been able to do in a long time (tie your shoes for ex) with the date and a pic of course. Also - hospital, pics of you and your doc and office staff - pics of you during post op. And most important (all of us scrappers know this) journal!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck - let me know how your album turns out. I know it will be great!!!!!!!

I recently had RNY feb 3rd, I have kept my hospital bracelet and discharge papers as I think they will be good things to include. I was also told to take photos of you in a doorway as you see the shirinking you more prevelent!!! Also to journal things such as a grat doc visit, or even a blue moment when you wonder if drinking broth one more day will ever come to an end...I have scrapbooked for 10 years and getting started is half the battle.. but what a wonderful memory ( life changing) to preserve!

I am an ex consultant, but am still scrapping. Is the book your are talking about and 8 1/2 by 11? I wish there were calendar pages for that book, but I have made some pages by going to template on the internet and printing out a blank calendar and putting in my book. I want to chart everything and keeping an up to date calendar keeps me on track. Sharon

I'm planning to do this sort of Becky Higgins/Rebecca Sower style...in a 6x6 Making Memories postbound album. I'm going to include before pictures, a list of things I want to do post-op that I can't do now, snippets from my journal with my feelings about surgery, and at various steps along the way, pictures taken regularly, etc. I love some of the new paper lines: Chatterbox, KI Memories, Doodlebug, SEI, and I plan to use a variety of those throughout the album. Journaling that is more private will be hidden on tags in book pockets, or something similar. And I'm going to include some motivational quotes to keep me going. I plan to use this not only as something to show off my progress, but also as a tool to keep myself focused and motivated. Norri
