Hi Ava - nice to meet you too! Thank you!

I bet, I was there once about 13 years ago on that.

I believe that.

I wish you luck on your journey. I would like to get at some point in time and arm lift and my thighs worked on. Thank you for the hugs and welcoming me to the forum, Ava!

Topic: RE: A Year and a Month Out Already.

I had a Revision Sleeve to Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y bypass with intraoperative EGD, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hiatal hernia repair and my gallbladder removed in one day.

I'm doing great a year and a month out from the surgery. I'm down about 90 pounds from surgery. I'm currently at 287.4 pounds. When I had my follow up with the surgeon, he told me when I get down to 250 pounds, he would recommend me a plastic surgeon for the loss fat and skin. I'm looking forward to getting down to 250 pounds so I can be/feel normal in life.

Has anyone/someone gone through this too like I have without any complications from surgery imon post-op leading out up to 13 months out?

I hope you're doing good on both the revision and your gallbladder? With me, it's due to sludge and stones. That's good to hear about it being easier on you than the initial VSG. I think I've read that some where before, seems like it. I bet it will be. Great, I hope it's the same with me in feeling much better after the RNY.

That's good to know! Thanks!

Thanks, I need the luck!

Also, thanks for the info.!

Okay, that's good to know. Okay, where can I find the Thursday menu thread at? That'll be great to hear from some of the regulars there there who are revisions.

Topic: RE: Revision Surgery from Sleeve to Roux-en-Y...

Hi,

First time posting in the Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass Surgery Forum. There has been times I've posted in the VSG Forum, but it's been a long time since I've posted there.

Anyway, the reason I'm posting here is that I'm having a revising surgery from the Sleeve to the Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass with intraoperative EGD, laparoscopic choiecystectomy. Also, a hiatal hernia repair on 08/21/2023. I had my VSG done on 06/08/2010.

I did lose the weight from the VSG surgery, but the the weight came back on over time, but I'm still under my heaviest weight. I'm happy I'm having the revision, I'm a bit nervous about my upcoming surgery (3-in-1). I already did all the jumping through the hoops and all I have to do now is on 0/19/2023 is a "Phone Consult" and wait between 2:00 p.m. & 5:00 p.m. for that phone call when to show-up at the hospital on 08/21/2023.

Has anyone had a revision from the VSG to the RNY with or without a gallbladder removal and/or a hiatal hernia repair?

Thanks in advance,

Watson

Yo're welcome. Same with me, Since I passed the airplane part on my journy to a new me and since I did the airplane goal and now I can do the zipline, I'm just take each goal and each day in my new life since post-op of weight loss sugery I take it via one step at a time which I call my baby steps. Thank you, kudous for a great journey that you're on. :-) , you're doing an awesome too. Sounds like a great idea to focus on the new up coming year, just one step at a time. You're welcome. So sorry that you didn't go zip lining. I know what that's like, I saw myself that way too as I myself couldn't bring myself in doing the zip line. I know I'll do it one of these days. I have a goal to do a zip line once I have both of my hips done and my right knee done. One thing I was able to do is to fly to Arizona via airplane and vacation in Arizona and I did it and ere I thought I was not going to fit in the seats in the airplane I was around the wait I and at now 175.5 pounds about 1 year and 8 months ago. Once I sat in the seat and put the seat belt on and took of in the plane and I was in disbelief that I was able to do this and I'll be going back to Arizona next Saturday. If I can do this and get past what I see in the mirror (at times I still see myself on the big side), but I have to remind myself that I'm not like that any longer. My heaviest weight was 565 pounds, I have lost 390 pounds overall and lost 300.9 pounds from my pre-op weight of 476.4 pounds (two weeks before surgery). I do have a fear of heights, but since I did the airplane I know I'll be able to bring myself to do the zip line. I'm a new person, I'm more than half the man I use to be. Since I did the airplane and at some point I'll the zip line, I can do anything. I just have to remind myself that I'm not the way I was before I had the weight loss surgery, I'm a whole new person just like you. I now living my life now the best way I can. You have done such a great job yourself (I applaud you) you too can do anything. There is thing I haven't done since I was a kid and there is things I haven't done in life that I like to do. Both of us are in the same boat one way or another. At this point in my life I'm trying to live life to the fullest now and you can do the same. I wish you all the best in making it to your goals and enjoying life. If you wish to, you can add me to you friend list.

I was looking around on google for other websites about Weight Loss Surgery (WLS) and came across this website called: http://www.wlshelp.com. It looks okay, well informed and educational about WLS. I think it's something to look at if you are Pre-Op or Post-Op.

I just wanted to share this on OH.com.
