Happy Monday Gang. The start of another week. What a crazy weekend. I ended up having to take Irvin to the ER because his doctor called Saturday afternoon about blood work results from his doctor's appointment on Friday. His Potassium and Magnesium were critically low and he need to get some via IV. We were there for 3 hours. We think it was from him fasting and going to the Y doing extra stuff there.
Today is day one of the annual Spring outage it's a 9 day one. I'm waiting for the Staples order to come in that was supposed to be here on Friday but got delayed for some reason. I also have to cover the scale house lunches this week, but no big deal.
B: coffee with MCT oil
L: French onion soup and salad
D: Hoping to skip it as I have been doing the last week.
We'll see how Irvin is feeling tonight as to whether we go to the Y or not.
Have a great day everyone!!!

Good Friday Gang. Another week in the books. I'm off today and have a few things to do. Irvin has a doctor's appointment this morning and I have to drop off the last rabbit buck then clean out the big pen to get ready for babies in a few weeks. Not sure what the weekend holds, but the weather is supposed to be in the 50's.
I did 5 minutes on the elliptical and I thought the stair stepper was bad wow did my thighs hurt after that. Glad I saved it to last. We ended up getting to the Y earlier than usual and it wasn't as busy. Today we are going during the day so it should be pretty dead in the gym part.
B: coffee with MCT oil
L: probably going to skip it and just have dinner
D: seafood of some sort we haven't figured that out yet
Have a great day and weekend everyone!!!

Happy Friday Eve Gang. What a busy morning here at work already. I've had to run to Home Depot and Electrical Wholesalers for stuff for the outage next week. I also picked up some Zeppolas for the guys for St. Joseph's Day. Yea they are getting super spoiled this week.
Irvin and I have been spending more and more time at the Y at night working on using other machines besides the ones we normally use and this morning when I put on a pair of my work pants I noticed that the thigh area was not as tight so things are working. Also, since we've been doing more exercises I haven't been hungry at night which in turn is helping with the weight loss. I'm 2lbs away from a 10lb loss. Slow and steady wins the race right?
B: coffee and 1/2 Zeppola
L: Roast Beef and Swiss lettuce wrap
D: skipping again
Weights, bike, treadmill, and stair stepper tonight at the Y.
Have a great day everyone!!!

Happy Hump Day Gang!!! Yesterday's St. Patrick's Day lunch was a huge success. We actually had a bunch of veggies leftover so my PM said if I could find some more corned beef I can make more today. Of course, I was able to find 5 more so they are in the Instant Pot cooking so they will be ready for lunch time. The Pistachio dessert came out amazing and the guys loved it along with the Tiramisu. I am taking Friday off to get some things done before we go into our first outage next week.
Irvin and I ended up staying at the Y for almost 2 hours last night. We just kept moving around doing different things and I did 3 miles on the recumbent bike. I thought for sure I would be sore this morning, but surprisingly I am not. I actually have a bunch of energy as does Irvin. I know you can't out exercise a bad diet, but boy does it help to really keep you motivated.
B: coffee with MCT oil
L: a little more corned beef and veggie because honestly it came out so darn good
D: skipping it again since I haven't been hungry after the long exercise times at the Y
Going to the Y tonight and we will see what else we end up doing. :)
Have a great day everyone!!

Sorry for the late start today gang. Woke up and then 15 minutes later we lost power. The wind was crazy last night and this morning 60+mph gusts with it being steady at 40mph. Tree limbs down everywhere along with dead trees. Last I knew over 60K without power just in CT. I ended up coming into work early to take a shower and get the day started. I just finished putting the three pans of corned beef, cabbage, carrots, and potatoes in the two ovens. The two desserts are done and I just have to go decorate upstairs.
Last night at the Y we did something a little different. We did the recumbent bike for 10 minutes then moved to the weight circuit machines and finished with the stair stepper which I'm proud to say I did 6 whole minutes on not an easy task at all. We were there for a good 40 minutes. When we got home I wasn't hungry so I only had a coffee with MCT oil in it and Irvin had a tea with the MCT in it. He is doing a fast starting today because he has a doctors appointment Friday and she can be a stickler about wanting him to take meds if his sugar is a bit up.
B: coffee and I just had a roast beef/turkey wrap as I was feeling hungry
L: corned beef and cabbage
D: honestly hoping after the Y tonight I'm not hungry again :)
I think we will be doing the same thing tonight at the Y since we both really enjoyed it.
Have a great day everyone!!

If they don't want to make it right about making you pay and then billing Medicaid most definitely report them. I have to wonder how many other people they've done that to.
Why is it that some doctors just don't listen when you tell them you can't take an NSAID. I don't understand that. Do they think you just don't want to take it for kicks and giggles?

Happy Monday Gang!! What a great weekend we had. First of all, Irvin got a job on Friday, and it is only 1/2 mile away from the house. It is for a paving company that is family owned. He is beyond happy and excited. The best part he gets the Winter off. So can still get his full retirement and work. Then we ended up going to NH to get the two trios of American *****hilla rabbits. Interestingly they were being sold by nuns. These two Sisters were the sweetest, yet funniest ladies I've ever met. Now I'm not a religious person at all, but it was such a pleasure speaking with them. Not only do they raise rabbits, but they also raise pigs and chickens and they process them themselves. I was highly impressed. Then the icing on the cake was I weighed myself Sunday morning and I was down 6.8lbs. I've been really paying close attention to what I eat and have made sure not to snack on anything during the day, plus there have been a few days that I ended up not eating until later in the day making it an OMAD.
Now to get working on the St. Patrick's day meal.
B: coffee with MCT oil
L: 1/2 cup of egg salad with 3 sticks of celery
D: 1 chicken thigh with 1/2 cup broccoli and mushrooms
Weights and stair stepper at the Y tonight.
Have a great day everyone!!

Good Friday morning gang!! I have to remember to play the lottery today as I always seem to get a bit lucky on Friday the 13th even if it's something small. I found on craigslist the last breed of rabbit I want, but I'm not sure if we will be able to go get them or not. We have to make some more hutches first and they are in NH about 1 1/2 hours away which isn't a big deal since we've travel much further for other things. They are a really good deal, but we will see.
I'm going to start getting things ready for the lunch next week. I've pulled the corned beefs out of the freezer and will cut up the cabbage. The carrots are already the baby ones so those are ready to go. The potatoes will be the only thing I have to do the day of. I have a few more things that I missed that I need to get at Walmart, but the guys are all excited about it.
I've finally broke a few month's long stall and dropped 3lbs. I swear the older you get and no matter what you do your body just doesn't want to give up the fat. I will continue to push on.
B: coffee and 2 scrambled eggs with cheese and spinach
L: egg salad in romaine lettuce
D: baked haddock with spinach and onions
I believe we are doing weights tonight and Irvin said something about hitting the pool again. We haven't really swam much throughout the Winter just because going outside with wet hair in the cold isn't the best feeling.
Have a great Friday and weekend everyone!!

Happy Friday-Eve Gang. Boy oh boy what a day yesterday turned out to be. In the late afternoon the employee covering the scale house for lunch break passed out and we had to call 911. Not sure what happened but his vitals appeared to be fine and he refused to go to the hospital. He was told to follow up with his doctor and he is not allowed to operate any heavy equipment until cleared. We put him on lite duty for now. We are hoping it is nothing serious.
I have to run to Walmart before the cold weather comes in to get stuff for the St. Patrick's lunch.
B: coffee and breakfast wrap
L: chef salad
D: chicken burgers
Low impact aerobics at the Y tonight.
Have a great day everyone!!

Happy Hump Day Gang!! The weather was perfect yesterday it got to 74 degrees. I could live with that temp year round. I got all the inspection forms done at work so now the PM just has to look them over to see if there are any other changes that need to be made. It looks like I may be making corned beef and cabbage next Tuesday for the guys at work which I'm fine with and I may make a Tiramisu if I can find the ingredients.
I do have to run out this morning to get a part for work that I had to order yesterday. The only other thing I really have to work on is the annual physical schedule for April. I ended up going through some clothes that I haven't worn in years and put together a bag full to donate. We have our quarterly evacuation drill at 9:30am. I did pick up some corned beef for myself yesterday at Stop and Shop they had them for $1.99lb and I was able to get 4 of them.
B: coffee w/protein powder and 1/2 yogurt with strawberries and blueberries
L: turkey, cheese wrapped around 2 pickles
D: I ended up skipping dinner last night and may just to that again tonight.
Ok I did the stair stepper for 5 minutes and holy hell were my legs dead. This was done on the lowest speed and after I did the weight training. At least I wasn't out of breath just my legs wanting to die. LOL
Have a wonderful day everyone.

I did have them on a heat mat and a light on them so I think that helped. Not sure what you have on the Western side of the US for potting soil, but if you can find Coast of Maine soils they are great.
You can start things like Kale, spinach, lettuce and other stuff like that inside. To late to start tomatoes, peppers, and eggplant, but most other stuff you can start now. I forget which state you're in Washington or Oregon?

I hope they give you your money back. That is some shady crap to be pulling.

Happy Tuesday Menuer's. Yesterday was just a glorious day out. Wish I didn't have to work, but it was quiet so I got a lot done. Went home made some steak on the grill, replanted some Arctic Raspberries a co-worker picked up for me from the Garden Center he works at on some nights. He's also going to be getting me some Honey Berry plants. The chickens have been laying 10-12 eggs a day and made a huge egg salad this morning before I went to work.
Here is the tulip that bloomed in the house. I just love the colors.
B: coffee with MCT oil and 1/2 cup egg salad with a few slices of steak
L: yogurt with blueberries and a Kimchi cucumber
D: grilled chicken burgers with lettuce, tomato, and onions
I'm going to attempt the stair stepper at the Y tonight after a few rounds of weight machines. I've been wanting to use it, but honestly it's kind of intimidating to me.
Have a wonderful day everyone!!!

Good Monday Morning Gang. The start of another week. Should be a quiet week at work which means I can work on the inspection forms that need to be updated. One of the tulips that I planted in the house decided to bloom. I have to take a picture of it because it is so pretty yellow and orange. I forgot what colors I purchased last year.
The weekend was nice with 50+ degrees both days. Lots of snow melted which is great. I can't wait to see the lawn again even if it's going to change to mud. LOL
B: coffee and 2 scrambled eggs with cheese
L: 1 cup of egg salad with tomatoes and cucumbers on the side.
D: grilled sirloin steak
Weight training at the Y tonight.
Have a great day everyone!!

Happy Friday Gang!! We all made it through another week. We were supposed to have icy road conditions this morning per the weathermen, but of course they lied. Instead, it was just rain. I ended up coming in an hour late because I thought I would wake up to icy conditions I guess it is what it is. I will be working on getting all the inspection forms updated and revised. When I printed them all out I realized there are about 70 of them so I'll be busy for a while which is fine by me.
The weather is supposed to start getting warmer this weekend and into next week so hopefully most if not all of the snow melts. It will turn to mud season, but I'll take that over the snow. At least I can move around better with the mud than the snow. We have to get the other rabbit hutches done outside so we can put the ones in the basement out. Not sure what the weekend has planned yet. I know Irvin wants me to make more yogurt so I will have to go get some raw milk.
B: coffee and bacon, egg, cheese on a bagel
L: leftover salad bowl from yesterday
D: baked stuffed sole with coleslaw
We're doing a water aerobics class at the Y tonight.
Have a great day and weekend everyone!!!

They better reimburse you what Medicaid paid or I would be reporting them. That's some BS right there. Crossing fingers you can find a new rheumatologist and that they are too far away.

Good Friday-Eve Gang. I didn't think yesterday's post went through. I kept getting a Gateway error, but it looks like it did. A crazy thing happened this morning. I like to a local radio station 106.5 and they have this contest every M-F called Google or Genius. Today the question was what is the main ingredient in Tiramisu? Since I make that once in a while I knew the answer was Mascarpone Cheese. I called and just so happened to get through. I won a gift certificate to a local restaurant for either lunch or dinner. I've only been trying for a few years to win something. The DJ Shawn Murphy asked if I looked it up or if I knew it and I told him I knew is because I make it. :)
The BAU audit is done until the follow-up in June and it went very well. Only 61 finding which over half have already been resolved. The last one was addressed to the plant manager, but since I found out I can make revisions and updated to equipment inspection forms and other types of inspections I told him I would take care of that. I've already put together a binder with all of the inspections we do and will go through them to make and revisions needed.
B: coffee and breakfast wrap
L: Jersey Mike Italian sub bowl
D: chicken soup
Going to the Y for low impact aerobics tonight. We did weight training last night.
Have a wonderful day everyone!!!

Happy Hump Day Gang!! I am definitely over Winter. I got out early yesterday due to the weather coming in and ended up coming in late today due to 1/2 inch of ice on the roads. Yea I'm not risking myself or my car for anything. Luckily my boss is understanding. Hopefully this weather starts heating up so the snow melts.
The Y closed early yesterday due to the weather which we kind of figured. At least they make sure their workers are safe. I ended up sorting through one of the file cabinet draws yesterday and got rid of a bunch of stuff.
B: coffee and yogurt with blueberry
L: egg salad
D: chicken loaf
Hitting the Y tonight since they will be open.
Have a great day everyone.

Happy Tuesday Menuer's!! Looks like I will be working a half of day due to sleet and freezing rain coming in. Snow I can handle driving in, but not ice. I'm keeping an eye on the radar. Today is the last day of the BAU audit and there were some minor findings nothing that we can't fix. Other than that I just have typical month end stuff to do.
The veggie seeds I plant on the 14th are already sprouting. So far tomatoes, eggplant and some of the peppers have come up. Oh and we have 24 tulips that have sprouted out of 45 I bought. Technically they should have been planted outside in the ground last Fall, but I forgot I bought them.
B: tea and 2 bacon cheese egg bites
L: leftover salad from yesterday's lunch
D: chicken soup
Due to the weather I think I will just do the treadmill at home tonight.
Have a great day everyone.

Mel I just love the chainmaille work you do. I'm glad you called the provider and they were good about it. Hopefully you find something that helps your pain.

Good Monday Morning Gang!!! The start of another week. Got three of the 5 rabbits bred this weekend and made 7 more jars of pressure canned chicken. We got an inch of snow yesterday, but by the afternoon it was all melted. Woke up with a bit of a headache which is odd since I really don't ever get them. Maybe it's from it being so nice out Saturday that I was outside doing a few things.
Irvin has a job interview with Iron Mountain at 12:30 today for a driver. He's excited about it. We took a ride Saturday to see where the place is, so he knows where to go.
B: tea and 2 egg omelet
L: turkey and bacon sandwich
D: salad with egg salad on top
Hitting the Y tonight for some weight training and maybe the pool.
Have a great day everyone!!

Good Morning Gang. What a crazy morning it's been already. Five guys showed up from another facility for a training that we were not even having. I had to call around to their managers and figure out what was going on. Apparently, there was a miscommunication with the person who sent out an email to them. The guys weren't upset about it, and they even got to get a tour of the plant which they really enjoyed. Other than that not much else going on at work today.
Tomorrow is supposed to be in the 50's which is a nice change of weather. We are breeding the new rabbits we got last weekend and probably doing some more snow clean up since we have so much of it.
B: tea and ham/egg on an English muffin
L: DQ fish sandwich
D: baked stuffed sole with Swiss Chard
Hitting the Y for some water aerobics.
Have a great day and weekend everyone!!!

Good Thursday Morning. Talk about Ice Ice baby the roads were horrible this morning on my way into work. I made, but went very slow. There were several accidents along the roads.
I'm hearing we are supposed to get more snow next week like another foot. Lord knows I don't want anymore snow. Mother Nature really needs to stop the meds she's on because things are getting out of hand. Nothing much else going on.
B: tea and 2 scrambled eggs with ham and cheese
L: La Stellas so probably a chicken sandwich
D: We have a few leftovers in the fridge so either baked chicken thighs or braised rabbit
Hitting the Y tonight for some cardio and weights.
Have a great day everyone!!

Happy Hump Day Gang. It is snowing again here today, but we're not getting that much just a few inches. Irvin was able to get the bobcat unstuck and clean up the yard. When I got home yesterday, I was tempted to turn the huge snow mound into something, but it was cold so I'll wait and maybe do something this weekend with it.
Not much going on at work today so it should be a quiet day. I'm getting some online training done.
B: tea and breakfast wrap with bacon and cheese
L: last of the short ribs
D: baked chicken thighs
The Y is closed until tomorrow so they can finish cleaning up the parking lot. They are bringing in a dump truck to haul the snow away.
Have a great day everyone!!!

I'll take your 84 degrees right now. Since it is snowing again. Only going to get 1-3 inches, but I'm so done with it. Your poor thumb. Have you tried soaking it in Epsom salt and warm water then putting the cream on it?
