Hey gang. We had a good amount of snow early, and I had a little shoveling in order to take JB to the train. It's about half gone already. We've got a couple of really cold days coming up.

QOTD: I skied a bunch when I was in my late teens and early twenties. It was a lot of fun. I only tried cross country skiing once, and didn't care for it. It's too much like work. I would never ski now. I'm quite sure I would die.

QOTD- I have skied when I was younger, I hated it my calves were too tight and it just plain hurt. My perfect skiing is with a drink in my hand it front of a fireplace preferably at Timberline Lodge.

I ordered a new cover for my outdoor fire pit but it appears to be too small and I wasn't going to stay outside and mess with it at 27 degrees. It supposed to rain this weekend so I wanted to get it on, I'll try again when it gets warmer. Or I may have to return it.

I need to get to work.

Have a great day everyone!

Sometimes when I thought about skiing, I would think I would probably break a leg. I usually get rid of congestion by using the Neti Pot a few times. It gets down inside your nose and throat and breaks up congestion that you cannot reach any other way. Sometimes I just give up and go to sleep when I don't feel well. Hope you feel better and it is OK to miss a beat if you have to do that. Get better soon.A

I don't think I have ever been to a party with that many people at one time. It would be quite a challenge to get them all fed. The casino games and 360 camera will be a lot fun. Will you be posting 360 degree pictures?

Good Morning Jennifer and Menuers,

So glad you had the day off. We just got a light dusting of snow, but we did get thunder snow last night. It lasted about 15 minutes and the booms were loud. I brought stuff out of the attic to start doing some decorating. I am going 2 lugs at a time till I am done. I may do more on Sunday, but I am not going to make it an all-day project. I have to many other things I have to do to dedicate a full day to it. It will be done by next weekend because then I need to start my Christmas cookies. I also need to do some shopping. I am still feeling crappy. My hope it the congestion breaks before tomorrow night. I am tired of being sick and the world not giving me time to lay in bed and rest. I have not missed a beat just doing everything with a mask on for now.

QOTD: I went one-time cross country skiing. I slid down an embankment my arm twisted, and I ripped off my tendon, muscles and ligaments in my shoulder. I had surgery on it on Saint Patrick's Day. I will never attempt again.

Accountability: I had a piece of cream puff cake.

Good morning, everyone!

We have our work Christmas party this weekend. Marilyn got a new dress and, of course shoes after the double shoe blowout last event. Hopefully not a repeat of the barefooting!

They are going to have casino games and a 360 degree camera. The only thing is that there are about 2,500 people in our office, plus guests, so the lines for food and drinks can get very long.

Today is less exciting, just work. Thursday is a rest day from CrossFit, so I will just stay inside and keep warm tonight. Swimming bright and early Friday morning.

QOTD: I have been a couple of times. I never was better than a green trail skier and it's been over 10 years. I don't think that I will go again because of the injury risk.

Breakfast: Bagel

Lunch: Catered

Dinner: Steak

Have a Great Day, All!

We finally got a lot of snow and I realized I did not put the cover over my patio furniture. Have to go out and do that today. It looks like at least two inches and still coming down. So pretty but looks so cold out there. 22 degress is cold and officially winter.

Skiing was not a thing here when I was growing up. I read about it in books and really wanted to do it. When I was in my 20's I signed up for a introduction to skiing class at the YWCA. But it ended up that I got pregnant and could not do the class.

My youngest sister is 17 years younger than I am. She did go skiing as a teenager. I remember being amazed at how expensive her ski clothes and equipment were, but she was the baby and my mother made sure she had everything she asked for.

I am sorry I did not try harder to go skiing when I was young and strong. As I get older i realize the things you reqret are the things you wanted to do and never did.
