Good morning, everybody!
I'm back from swimming. We did a lot of drills and kick board, so I was ravenous when I got out. Of course I ate too fast and don't feel that good right now. I'm sure that I will be fine in an hour.
I'm working from home today. The usual Wednesday stuff - Crossfit and Happy Hour. We bought a ton of cheeses for Thanksgiving, and didn't end up eating any of them, so we are going to try and make a dent tonight. We didn't end up having the crab pasta last night, so I think that we are having it for lunch today.
QOTD: I do like snowy weather, particularly at this time of year. By February, I am ready for summer, though.
Breakfast: Bagel
Lunch: Pasta with crab
Dinner: Charcuterie
Have a great day, all!

Good mornin everyone!
I have an appointment with my case manager at the mental health clinic this morning. We may do a quick trip to Sam's to see if they have boiled eggs. I'm sure my mom has other things planned but I am not aware of them yet.
PT yesterday kick my butt. I feel like the wall someone is trying to throw spaghetti at to see if it'll stick. Every visit has been different in some way. Yesterday he was saying he didn't understand why my pain was rated so high(an 8). It left me feeling really down. So sorry I don't in a certain box...
QOTD: if we have to get out I would rather never have the snow. If I can stay in the house it's great. It's really good for the farmers around here. I can deal with cold but snow and ice are really not my absolute favorite. I hate ice.
B: eggs, cheese and coffee

Halfway through the week. I'm laughing at this meme just because today is my Friday. Funny I came into work and my boss was like "oh I thought you were off for the rest of the week". Nope not this week.
We got a surprise little snow squall last night around 7pm that dropped an inch of white crap and we are supposed to get a few more inches tonight/tomorrow with wind gusts up to 40mph. At least I'll be home and not have to drive in it. Heck I don't like driving in just high winds you can always feel the car pulling on the highway and I hate that.
QOTD: Speaking of the white stuff do you like snowy weather? You would think being born and raised in New England first in Rhode Island and then moving to Connecticut I would love the snow, but nope even as a kid living on a farm I was never a fan of the cold snowy weather. Yea I would sled some and ice skate, but never more than hour. I just don't like being cold even at my heaviest weight I hated the cold weather.

Sorry you had to miss your party and that you are sick. I hope you feel better soon.
Good Evening! Checking in late but I'm here. I hope your PT is going well and helping a bit. Today was another quick busy day.
QOTD: We used to make cookies and brownies and give some out. Em and I used to make trays and we'd deliver to surrounding police/fire stations on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

I had COVID a year ago and was only sick for one day. They said it is not what it was four years ago. Good that they are letting you work. You should feel fine for theater and Bingo.

Good morning, everybody!
Three weeks from today is Christmas Eve. Are we ready for that? Today I am working from home. I have a lot of calls, but none of them are too stressful. Hopefully, I can sneak out to the gym during the day.
My sister and niece are coming into Chicago on Saturday and we are joining them for brunch on Sunday. My other niece lives downtown, so she actually knows a lot more restaurants than I do. But the menu looks good - it's an Italian brunch, so eggs, etc. but also things like pasta, butcher plates, etc. I'm in.
QOTD: Some years Marilyn does a neighborhood cookie exchange. Last year she did toffee and caramels and we sent some of them to Kelly. I am not sure if she will do the candies this year because her friend had a death in the family.
Breakfast: Bagel
Lunch: tacos
Dinner: Crab and cream sauce with pasta
have a great day, all!

Good Morning Mel and Menuers,
So, after I posted yesterday, I was able to take the time to take a COVID test and damn if it didn't show positive. Not sure if I believe it because everyone I used was expired by a year. So, I missed my Birthday party here at work. They are letting me come into work. I just mask and wear gloves when in common areas, I have tickets for the theater on Friday and Bingo on Saturday and I am going no matter what. I am not sick enough to not go. I am also taking Ivermectin so I should be clear by then.
QOTD: Usually pass out a few cookie trays and cheesecakes. I also do fudge. I buy Martini glasses throughout the year 2nd hand and fill them with fudge and use green and red M&M's to fill in the dead spaces. cello wrap them with a pretty tie and Jingle bells. I used to do a lot now not so many.
Accountability: Hydration is getting better, and I had a few bites of Cream Puff cake as I was going through the fridge and deciding what to throw out. All thanksgiving food is gone except I turned the turkey into turkey salad.

Anytime I tried food gifts, a lot of it ended up being my snacks. I love homemade fudge, brownies, and cookies. I might make a pan of Million Dollar Fudge. It is an old recipe with German chocolate, semi-sweet chocolate and marshmallow cream. I think my mother also added unsweetened baking chocolate. It is extemely rich and chocolately and once I have a piece it is hard for me to stop eating it.
One of my favorite sister-in-laws used to be known for her peanut butter fudge. I don't like peanut butter, but would eat her fudge. She was so proud of it. She passed away this year and her family mentioned her peanut butter fudge in her obituary. She would have loved that. She was a few years younger than me and I believe possibly ended up with lung cancer because she smoked a lot, but I have not asked her family.
I had two classmates pass away during Christmas week last year. It was really hard. Now that we are all about 76, we are starting a project where someone contacts you occasionally to see if you have any health issues and make sure you are doing well. Sometimes it really helps to know that someone is thinking about you and takes the time to check in and talk. Due to all the health issues, it is harder and harder to get people together for lunches, drinks, or shows like we used to do. But every bit of time spent together is helpful.
