Good Morning on this fine Fri-yay! We won't be getting payroll out today which is a bummer but not something I can control so I'm letting it be. I will work on some items over the weekend in hopes of a smoother Monday as a result-we'll see! We don't have much set for the weekend which helps being able just to log on to work when I feel like it.

Happy Friday everyone!

I got Marilyn from the airport and we made it home at about 11:30 last night. So no swimming today. I've missed three in a row, I'm going to have to make a concerted effort to make it both days next week.

Marilyn had a good and productive couple of days in Florida. Are neighbors are very thorough and have provided her with the checklist that they use when they close up their place. I think that she appreciates it, but they are stressing her a little with reminders of everything that could possibly go wrong.

This weekend can't get here soon enough. I'm doing a 10-K in Chicago tomorrow, fishing with my son on Sunday and March Madness tomorrow evening. I have a few gym trips and errands as well, should be pretty busy.

This week is Spring Break in Chicago, so it's been pretty quiet on the roads and in the office.

QOTD: My term is up, but I was a Board Member for our County's Court Appointed Special Advocates. CASA provides volunteer advocates who help children that are navigating the Family Court system (generally abused or neglected children). Right now I am not on any Boards, just a financial supporter of various groups.

Breakfast: Bagel

Lunch: hot dog

Dinner: chicken

Have a great day, all!

Good Morning Jenniefer and Menuers,

It is a little dreary but not too cold here for the opening day of baseball season. The game starts at 4:12. They may get a few innings in before the rain breaks. This was an odd week here at work. Not as busy as usual. I hope next week turns around. Pretty much a typical weekend. Gym, Mom duty, I need to bake brownies for her last day of bowling and stuffed cabbage for Sunday dinner. Can someone explain to me why a 10lb bag of potato's is $3.99 and a 5lb bag is $3.59. It makes me so mad. Yes, I bought the 10lb and giving 1/2 to my brother but there is nothing right about it.

QOTD: I donate to the City Mission, Humane Society and the VVA. We also go to many fund raisers throughout the year. We do bingos, Night at the races, and anything else that sounds fun, and we feel it is worthy.

Accountability: I grazed dinner.

Good mornin y'all!

Wednesday's appointment went ok. I have an egd and colonoscopy scheduled later this month. Not exactly looking forward to it but I've had em before. The prep is different than the others I've had so there's that. I've not been feeling all that well. Just off. Hopefully today'll be better.

yesterday we didn't have power for nearly 8 hours. They are replacing the power polls. It was annoying but necessary I guess.

we're supposed to get up to 4 inches of snow this weekend. Boooooooo!

That's awesome about the charity donation match! What a neat thing to do!

QOTD: we donate more regularly to a women's shelter here in town than anything else and the food bank when possible.

b: eggs, turkey sausage, cheese and coffee

l: probably soup

d: ???

It's Friday and I'm doing the happy dance that the week is just about over. For some reason I feel like the dog in the meme full of energy and excitement. Got a good night's sleep and woke up to rather warm weather. Of course, tomorrow it is supposed to be in the 40's with more rain, so will spend the day cooking for the week. I have to stop at the Asian market on my way home to get the ingredients to make another batch of Kimchi.

I found out this morning that my company has a Charitable Match Program where you can donate up to $200 to eligible charities and they will match it 100%. When I was looking through the list of animal charities, I found that a rescue I follow on FB is one of them. MAD Belgian Malinois and Dutch Shepherd Rescue. I am definitely going to be donating since they currently have 4 different dogs that they have rescued who need different surgeries.

QOTD: Speaking of charities do any of you here donate on a regular basis to any specific foundations? In the past I've donated to some small local animal rescues, but nothing big. For the last few years here at work on March 26 Jersey Mike's does all proceeds made go to March of Dimes so we make sure to get in on that.

B: coffee and I'm going to skip breakfast because we are having pizza and wing dings for lunch at work.

L: pizza and wing dings

D: Fish and Chips

30 minutes on the treadmill

Have a great day and weekend everyone!!!

QOTD- I'm not sure how old I was but my Mom thought I needed a pixie cut. I hated it and will never go back.

I've been really busy at work and finally got this hairy job done. It was a pain to figure out and ended up being more than I thought it would be. But it's done. So move on to the next one and the one after that...and so on... We've hired a couple more engineers but they won't start until the 21st. So maybe the work load will even out. I don't multitask anymore. I do one at a time and move on when it's done.

Just when I thought the chances of frost were pretty much nil there was a frost advisory for last night. I was talking with my roommate about buying veggie plants and he asked about frost, and I told when they start selling the plants the risk is pretty low, so I was wrong.

I got a mani pedi last night so my nails and toes are happy. Not much else going on.

Have a great day everyone!

Back when it was in for white people to get an Afro, my mother got one. Her hair was permed with the tiny little red rods and then used an Afro pick to fluff it up. She did not drive back then. When my father came to pick her up, he hated the hair and did not want to take her back looking like that.

I used to refuse to take a kid immediately from really long to really short hair. Even if they think they want it, it can be a shock and take time to get used to. I would do it in stages. Start with a shorter style about shoulder length and let them get used to that. Then go shorter the next cut.

I have had some haircuts that I was not too happy with but after a week or so I would get used to it and it would grow out some.

Good Morning Jennifer and Menuer's,

That is great you have walking buddies. Rudy does more sniffing than he does moving. My route is common for the neighbors, so he needs to sniff and pee every couple feet to let them know he was there. Sorry I was MIA yesterday, time got away and before I knew it, it was afternoon. I am going to hit Aldi today. I need cabbage. I want to make Cabbage rolls got Sunday since I have an abundance of ground beef. It is supposed to be raining and cold all weekend so I will say that will be comforting. This morning, I was awakened at 3:30 by a storm. We were lucky not to have any damage that I know of the winds were really whipping. I did get the wheel on my car fixed. It was pricey but worth it. Just glad it is done.

QOTD: Oh, I think it was my 4th grade perm for sure. My cousin had a shop, and I wanted it so bad. In those days they just cut the hair short and used small rods to make a Q-Tip look. Perms have come a long way since the early 70's.

Accountability: I found yogurt covered pretzels at Rural King. I think 5 are 150 calories. It was not really a cheat but more of a snack. The yogurt is blueberry. I only looked at Calories, but I need to check out the sugar and protein.
