My only regret is waiting so long and trying for so long to do it without surgery.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Don't feel bad my dog has a melt down when I try to clip her nails. You would think I'm murdering someone in my house with the sounds she makes. I told her next time she's getting drugged, muzzled and hung in a hammock so I can do her nails, she side eyed me and then ran to my husband crying. Really? Some big brave guard dog you are Meisha.
I was scheduled for a test this summer that involved traveling over 50 miles to the hospital and then when I got there they told me the wrong test had been ordered and they sent me home. I do respect the person doing the test for realizing that they should not do it on me, but it is a bit of a flawed system where they don't always do their homework before ordering tests.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
QOTD- It's a struggle to find the right doctor that will work with you and not against you. Insurance is a crap shoot, they make money by restricting your access to care. It should not be a for profit industry in my opinion. I still have no answers from my last Dr visit.
My Mom is 89 and lives alone, she is on a blood thinner and gets tested every few weeks. She had a valve replacement a few years ago. But is pretty healthy. She has someone come in a few days a week to help her with things she can't do on her own.
My BFF is 80 and lives alone, she has 2 horses, 2 corgis and 2 cats. She has 3 sons that do help her with some things. But she feeds the horses twice a day, she has one lonely chicken the only one left of her flock her name is Pamela Anderson and she is a banty with feathers on her legs.
Another cold start to the day at 22, but at least it is sunny. It's supposed to start raining on Friday and they are threatening snow on Monday. Honestly I doubt it will happen, when they predict it, it doesn't usually happen.
I need to get to work.
Have a great day everyone!

Good morning all and Happy Wednesday,
It's this guy's 5th Birthday today. My nephew, Ezra:
Lady Godiva - Glad you're getting answers and cracking the whip to make sure your mom has a more healthy living environment.
My dog and I are having an argument of how often he should get his nails clipped. His viewpoint of never getting them cut seems a little biased.
I'm at Starbucks getting organized for the day and working on my taxes.
QOTD- I'm in both camps. On one hand, I understand that doctors need to go through certain steps to identify and fix the issue. I respect that and normally let them do their thing without much question. On the other side, I've had two doctors in the last year, Neurologist and Orthopedic Surgeon, who I've called out on inaccurate information, unnecessary tests, given prescriptions that possibly dangerously conflict with my current script regimen, etc. My neurologist wasted three months calling for an EMG for my lower nerves. When I finally got to the appt, the EMG doctor said, this isn't the right test but since you're here, we'll do the wrong test anyway. I chalked it up to a simple mistake. When asked the Neurologist about it, he tried to explain it away but called me a customer. I went to his colleague instead and am getting much better care.

Good morning Jennifer and Menuers,
Thank God your mom is not as bad as first suggested by your sister. I am the bad guy when it comes to my mom's care. I do not care it is my way or no way. I am her executer and POA. To bad if they don't like it. Your mom's health is most important. Tonight, I got to take my mom to cards and then get another round of Pizzelles done. Currently I have 13 bakers dozens of the Anis flavored ones done, tonight we will start on the almond flavor.
QOTD: I absolutely believe they have cures for diseases but do not use them. If everyone was healthier big pharma, medical institutions, The government, health insurances would not be able to rake us over the coals with medical expenses. I work on the edge of medical because I sell medical supplies, and it is ridiculous the cost of the items I sale. It is all political in my opinion.
Accountability: Grazed dinner. I did not take the time to sit with a meal i just kept grabbing bites.
