QOTD- Absolutely speak to animals.

I got to dry my sheets outside on Saturday. I love the smell of clothes dried outside. I went to the store for plants I got 3 types of tomatoes, lemon cucumbers, red pepper, an artichoke and some annuals. Now I just need to get them in the ground. It was rainy yesterday so at least they are watered. It supposed to clear on Wednesday & Thursday so I'll get them planted then.

Still trying to get the last door on the pantry I bought. Then I will need an extension cord so I can move the espresso machine and coffee grinder. I may have one that will work but I need to figure it out. Beware of furniture that requires assembly.

I didn't make it to a movie but I may go today or tomorrow. I have a counseling appointment today, I'm hoping my other meeting doesn't run late.

I rescheduled my little girl kitties appointment to Thursday, hopefully this time I will be able to get her in the carrier without any mortal wounds to either of us.

Work is calling. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning all and Happy Monday

, I had a eventful weekend. My mom had a stroke and I'm grateful that she sought medical intervention when she noticed she was having a problem with balance and really dizzy. It's going to be a lot of PT. Her balance, dizziness and wonky eye need serious recovery. It was also her birthday yesterday and I'm glad she was up for celebrating. We did a nice Wildfire prime rib dinner and I brought a 6lb Eli's

Other than that, I played poker, and got to spend quality time with Paula went to a funeral of an 88 year old friend who fell last week. He was an extremely good human being. He became a nurse so he could be a missionary in Africa. He spent 20 years in Africa, met his wife there, and had 3 children, 7 grandchildren, and 12 great grandkids. I'm grateful we meet and I'm happy to have called him a friend.

QOTD- Every language. I think it's much more useful to communicate with every person on Earth than every animal.

B: Nothing but coffee and reds.

L: half a Panera Turkey Bravo sandwich.

D: Leftover prime rib, creamed spinach, sweet potato, au gratin.

Keep it real.

Good morning, Jennifer and Menuer's,

Weekend was nice and calm, and I may have actually relaxed for a few minutes. I am hopping this next 2 days of cold weather and snow opportunities are the last of it till the fall. I am on a countdown to vacation. I am less than a month out and I need it badly. I just realized Easter is only 2 weeks away and our company closes for Good Friday. So, looking forward to the short week next week. Mom is done with bowling, and they loved the brownies I sent. They even reached out for the recipe. She will start summer bowling sometime in May and it will change to Monday's. It will keep her busy.

QOTD: Every language in the world for sure. It would simplify travel, and I would know if they were talking **** on me.

Jim, it great how well you do with running. I get tired thinking about it. And the fishing sounds like so much fun. What kind of fish you go after and do you catch and release or take them home for meals?

I would love to have my cat talk back and explain what is wrong. I had him groomed yesterday and a very short cut. He has so much heavy hair and it is so hard to keep vacuumed up. But he seemed like he was in shock after the trim which is shaved on his body with just a maine and big ball on his tail like a lion.

I felt terrible and he was so sad all afternoon. He is acting better today. I always worried about people going into a kind of shock when too much hair was removed at once. This is the first time I had a cat groomed that way. But it should really help with no needing to constantly clean up shedding hair.

We are back to cold and rainy days again. But getting so much closer to spring and lots of daffidals and tulips coming up. It feels like it should be Easter but that is so late this year. It should be a lot nicer for egg hunts. We have had them in the snow some years. So looking forward to warm sunny days again.

Good morning, everyone!

I had a great weekend. Saturday was the 10-k. I jogged the whole way and actually went at a faster pace than the 8-k two weeks ago. Hopefully shaking off the winter's rust. There was a band and a hot dog and beer for the finishers. We actually have another race next weekend, but it's only an untimed 3-K.

Saturday night, I fell asleep on the couch and missed the epic ending of Houston/Duke. I think that I will win a little in the pool whatever happens tonight, but more if Florida pulls it out. I may go to CrossFit before the game.

Yesterday, I went fishing with my son. We got sandwiches at Jersey Mikes, ate a picnic and fished for a couple of hours. It was opening day, so the Lake was absolutely mobbed. We are going to try again next weekend, but start much earlier to beat the crowds.

QOTD: Speak every language. I fear the animals are mocking me.

Breakfast: bagel

Lunch: catered

Dinner: Chicken

Have a great day, all!

Good Monday morning all. Here's to the start of another week. Two more days left for this outage and then hopefully we are good until the Fall outages. Didn't do too much the weekend except burn some wood outside yesterday as the day was perfect for it and some small outside cleanup.

QOTD: Would you rather speak every language in the world or be able to speak to animals? 100% speak to animals. It would make things so much easier to be able to talk with animals especially if they are sick or injured. Then they can tell you what hurts.

B: coffee and 2 hard boiled eggs

L: seafood salad

D: leftover turkey

30 minutes on the treadmill

Have a great day everyone!!!

I like to donate to organizations that set up and take the donation out of my account so I don't have to remember. At present it is just PBS and a local cat rescue group. I used to donate a lot to church and to political groups. Not so much anymore. AA rainy few days coming up, but it is 60 and sunny today. I have a groomer coming Sunday for my cat. The warm weather is really making him shred and I am going to try a short cut called the Teddy Bear cut. I am sure he will look fine and give me a break from constant va*******

Good morning all and Happy Friday,

It's the weekend... Almost. I am trying to figure out what to do tonight for date night. Maybe a candle making place.

My mom's birthday is Sunday and we're talking her out for a nice meal. I already have a sentimental card and note.

QOTD- I donate financially to American Cancer society, Alzheimer's Mae Bell Organization, Chicago Canine Companion Shelter.

B: nothing.

L: Grilled chicken sandwich in lettuce wraps.

D: ??? I'll figure something out.

Stay on the sunny side of the street.

I wish I were that dog, it looks so happy!

QOTD- I donate monthly to Sea Shepherd, All Classical Radio, OPB our local NPR station and I gave to the Friends of Timberline to help rebuild from the fire. I used to volunteer for the Cat Adoption Team and the Portland Women's Crisis Line but it was too triggering. And I wanted to take all of the cats home with me. I need to find a volunteer opportunity.

I'm not sure what was in the air but yesterday my nose wouldn't stop running, so I ended up taking an antihistimine. It's supposed to be 67 today and 69 tomorrow so I'm going to try to get some plants and work on the garden. The last thing that I have to do to the pantry I bought is put the doors on. It was a pain to assemble and I don't read pictures a few words would have helped.

I plan to go to the movies this weekend, I'll probably see Captain America even though I've heard it's not very good but I like to see them on the big screen.

I also need to do something with the greenhouse since it blew away, I've decided to get rid of it. I partially disassembled it but I have to get that done. Since it is going to be nice I might finish that this afternoon.

Have a great day everyone!
