I have never had kimchi. I lover sauerkraut so think I will also love kimchi. I just added it to my grocery order for this week. I have not done any crafts in probably 40 years. I used to do paint by number paintings and holiday decorations. Then life and work caught up with me and I never took time to do things like that. Now I am completely retired and looking for ideas to spend time. I think a trip to a hobby store is long overdue.

I googled diamond painting and it looks beautiful. I am going to give it a try. Thanks for mentioning it.

Good morning Menuers. Boy is it cold this morning. I thought yesterday was cold, but nope today is worse. I can't wait until Spring.

Finished making my second batch of Kimchi. I swear this stuff helps balance my gut when I take it regularly. I only eat a couple of spoons of it before bedtime and the next day never feel bloated if I happen to eat something I shouldn't have.

Other than that not much going on. We have a corporate safety performance audit going on this week and next Tuesday we have a scheduled waterwash for the other boiler at work and then the rest of the month should be quiet at work. I do have to look through my seed catalogs to see what I want to order for this year.

QOTD: Who here does arts and craft things? When I have time I will knit/crochet or embroider just for fun, but recently I started one of those diamond painting things. It is a picture of a beehive. I can believe how easy it is. I started it a week ago and I'm about half done with it.

Funny you say I'm a youngster. I had some auditors come into from FM Global to do an audit of our boilers and turbine. While waiting for the plant manager we were chatting about the weather, and I mentioned that living in this area for 50 years I still don't like the cold. One of the guys looked at me and said there is no way you are 50. I said yup just turned it on the 28th. He said WOW I would have said you were maybe 40. Well, thank you very much sir I wish I was 40. LOL.

Happy Birthday Jen, Em, and Julia.

My plans for 2024 are a trip to Las Vegas particularily because I want to take a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon and eat at Hell's Kitchen. There are so many fun things to do in Vegas. I don't gamble but love the entertainment there.

I am also planning a week in Hawaii with my sisters in May. Other than a luau I plan to spend most of that week on the beach. It is cold and snowy here but the sidewalks and roads are clear. When the sun comes out it is pretty sparkling on the snow.

I like the snow but getting antsy for spring. Spring is my favorite season when everything is fresh and green and there are warm sunny days again. Today is a good day to be on the couch with my cat, a blanket, and the gas fireplace running. I am going to watch Outlander and maybe finish a book I am reading.

I am enjoying the article that Teenie posted and thinking o f ways to increase my protein and vegetables. I got out for a short walk today with my jacket, gloves, hat and scarf and really needed that fresh air. The real secret of keeping weight off is the combination of eating well and getting as much exercise as possible.

Happy belated birthday.

If you have a tub to soak in and some Epsom salt I highly recommend taking a bath as hot as you can tolerate it and add a good cup of Epsom salt. You would be surprised how much it helps with muscle pain.
