Happy Friday Eve!! The safety audit is going pretty well at work and it is prepping us for the VPPPA recertification that is coming up in February.
Woke up this morning and must have slept wrong or maybe the dog jumped on me as the right side of my lower back is sore. I'll just do some mild stretches throughout the day and hopefully it will feel better by this afternoon. I swear sometimes I can just be standing still and hurt myself in some way. LOL At least it never lasts very long.
QOTD: Is there any type of food that you've wanted to try but were afraid to for one reason or another? So yesterday I posted about the Kimchi that I made. I'll be honest for years I had seen it in the grocery stores and wanted to try it but was always hesitant. Then one day I said to heck with it and got a small jar. Both my husband and I loved it so we decided that we should learn how to make our own and this is where we are now making our own Kimchi. :)

I am so sorry about the salt burning his little paws. I know that some people have shoes or boots for their pets. Maybe that would help but depends on whether he would wear them.

Good afternoon y'all.

I reversed a few recent decisions. It's been ok and I think it's the right ones. Sometimes you gotta push on.

I've known folks to soak pet paws in water and Epsom salts to help with the salt burn.

Good afternoon, Jenniefer and Menuers,
The weather here is not letting up. It has been in the 20's and we have 8-10 inches of snow on the ground. It fell within the last week. Usually about 2 inches per day. Rudy is not a huge fan. He is good walking in the yard, but the salt really must hurt his little paws. It is now a whole ordeal to get him out for a bathroom break. I am with you Jen; Spring cannot come soon enough.
QOTD: That I leave up to Ron. I am a more in the kitchen person. I made chicken noodle soup and beef vegetable with noodles the last couple days and made the egg noodles from scratch. The broth came from bones.
Accountability: Not so good. I was hungry from my fast so I did eat more than I should have.

Morning gang. It's really cold here, but there isn't a cloud in the sky. I mind the cold less if it isn't also gray and dreary. Other than that, nothing is really going on. Nice and quiet.
I'm a little surprised, when I stop to think about it, by how much time folks put into food prep. Every once in a great while I will bake something. But as far as meals go, I think I average about a minute per meal doing actual work. I'm really simple. Or so I've been told.
QOTD: I do all sorts of crafts and things. I love working with my hands, and my head. I love figuring out all the little problems, shortcuts, and history of things. There's very little I wouldn't be interested in trying. Which feels odd, because it's exactly the opposite of how I eat.

Good morning, everybody!
Boy, everyone is back to work today. The traffic was bad and for the first time since pre-COVID, I almost had to leave my car keys with the lot attendant and double parked. I almost always WFH on Wednesday, but we have a meeting today.
I drove in because I had swimming this morning. First day back after two weeks off for the holidays. I definitely felt a little rusty and my stroke wasn't as good.
Marilyn took a quick trip to Alabama to check on my youngest's apartment and car. She will be home at dinner time. I have CrossFit this evening and we will watch the Chicago shows.
QOTD: Not that often. I would like to learn to tie flies.
Breakfast: bagel
Lunch: Catered

Have a great day, all!

If you like sauerkraut I think you would like the kimchi also. Some can be a little spicy at first bite, but nothing hot or anything like that.
The diamond painting is so much fun and you can get different types of them. Some are flat that you can frame afterwards and others are kind of almost 3D types that you put the little "diamonds" into. A co-worker made me a big honeybee one that I have hanging on my kitchen wall.
