Good morning ~ Happy Sunday! Yesterday was a good day! Productive, relaxing and fun. Today more of the same. The time change through me off, but I slept in for once! I look forward to some daylight on my commute tomorrow, for a few weeks anyway. I went shopping yesterday and it's full on Christmas in the stores complete with Christmas music - crazy! Anyway I need to get going on Christmas planning. I want to change from multiple little gifts to experience or theme gifts. I think I'd like to gift the kids a trip to Universal - they talk about it all the time. They can buy their own slippers, hoodies and cologne, i'd rather give them fun. Rob wants some vintage style NFL hats - he loves his hats. I can't think of anything for myself! A nice spa day sounds good to me. Today is cleaning, laundry and NFL. Not sure if the kids are coming over or not.
QOTD - Aristotle said - 1. We are what we repeatedly do. 2. Through discipline comes freedom. Do you agree?
I do -100%. I am what i do for sure. I am not fit - I want to be but if I continue to be sedentary it's not going to happen. Nothing changes if nothing changes. I also agree that the road to freedom from the things we don't want can change with discipline - however you define that word - habit forming, willpower or just do it... Again, nothing changes if nothing changes.
Accountability - there was wine, and I added crackers (made from low carb tortillas) and cheese a-plenty. Otherwise, good. 4 active minutes and 4,266 steps even though I didn't wear my watch half the day. I didn't weigh in this morning because the cat was driving my nuts to be fed. Today I am just going with the flow. I'm going to focus my efforts on the weekdays when I am way more productive.
B- coffee, egg, cheese green chili low carb wrap

It is only 46 and won't get much higher today. But it is a beautiful sunny day. The sun is shining through the trees and they are all yellow, red and orange. The sky is bright blue. It will rain later today, but I am going to dress warm and get out in that sunshine for a while.
I rarely shop in a grocery store. I started home delivery during the pandemic and still do it at least once a week. They do the shopping and bring it into my kitchen for me. I used to "diet" all year and then declare the time from Halloween to New Years Day and free eating time. I enjoyed the candy, homemade cookies, and all the foods that I did not eat the rest of the year. I always gained 10 pounds and then started Weigh****chers on Jan 2. It would take me until spring to lose that 10 pounds and I would be "good" again until he next Halloween when I started the same cycle over again.
Now I eat anything I want and found out that I no longer want it. It has made life so much easier. I am looking forward to things like pot roast, soups, stews, and of course turkey that I don't cook during the summer. I have the same clothes I bought for fall two years ago and my weight has not gone up so they still fit fine. Lots of comfortable sweatshirts and stretchy pants and warm socks.
The cat that I rescued last month has become a little angel. He was scared at first but now he knows he is safe and loved and he has settled down. He is using the litterrobot so I am getting rid of the regular litterbox this weekend. The self-cleaning litterbox is a pretty amazing invention. I always thought I would get one if I had another cat. I hated spending that $300 but now see it was well worth it.

Good mornin everyone.
It's a rainy day here which is my kind of weather. Lots of thunder and lightning but not severe. A high in the low 60's. You can almost hear the earth sigh in relief.
Not much planned today. Riley stayed the night last night and my brother will be picking her up around 2. That's when the weather should clear up a bit so we'll take down some of the window a/c units with his help.
QOTD: I can pass em up if they are unhealthy. I will take them if they are better for you. Sam's is about the only place here that does it. They other day the sample machine had dude wipes. I passed that one up easily. LOL
Food is unplanned today so far. I know about what I'll be eating but for which meal ???
B: was eggs, cheese, light ranch sauce and coffee
The rest will include chicken and a frozen breakfast meal I need to use up. Snacks will be a cheese stick and a bad of baked lays.
I love moo deng

Good morning! I'm up, showered, packed. Ready for Viva Las Vegasing myself all over the place this weekend. Happy 65th to Rog. Thank you for turning 65 and getting on Medicare and reducing our health insurance premiums. LOL. As I expected, yesterday was sluggish for me. Lots of puttering around to keep the grands happy, but nothing worth noting. I ate one egg, two strips of bacon and two bites of hash browns for breakfast and brought the rest home. Lunch and dinner I totally punted on and we ate leftovers/freezer finds. I ended up having TJ's turkey meatballs, cottage cheese and a little marinara for dinner. That used to be a go to meal in the first year. I forgot how much I like it and I cleaned out the cottage cheese and frozen meatballs.
Today is traveling to Vegas, hanging out, Rog is going to the Knights game with Ryan and then we'll meet up for post game ****tails and apps. Food will be TBD until next Friday. I'll do the best I can but I'm not going to be militant.
QoTD: YES!! I do take them if they interest me at all. I usually go to TJ's or Costco after big workout mornings so I don't feel guilty. I love having the bite and I almost never buy the product. I feel like I'm getting all treats.
No menu planning for me today. But I have emergency beef jerky in my carry on!
Peace

Good morning ~ it's Saturday and I'm a happy girl, just see the above meme because that will be me all day. It's supposed to be cold and rainy today which I love, so bring it on. I've been revisiting favorite crockpot recipe's, but you know you have to plan for that, so I'm planning. I want to have protein meals lined up in the freezer, ready to cook and eat and with this weather sounds like a great time to start. Today I don't really plan on being quite that lazy, but close. I want to clear the Halloween out, clean and maybe re decorate a bit. There is my never ending closet room of clothes. I was going through the 'skinny' clothes closet in Robs office. I still have a lot of clothes that I can't fit yet, but after clothes shopping yesterday I went back in there and discovered I had a lot more in my current size including what I had just bought - argh. I could have sworn they were a smaller size. Any way..... I now have a ton of work pants. Does anyone wear mid rise anymore? The old pants are midrise and feel a bit funny so I'm not returning my new high rise dress pants after all. Today will be all of the above, add a nap and laundry and that is my Saturday!
QOTD - Do you give into free samples/end cap display traps at the grocery store or Big box? Usually I have no problem walking by the samples and ignoring end cap deals, but yesterday Traders Joes got me with both. The Thanksgiving day flavored kettle chips on the end cap and a sample of maple ginger cookie (didn't buy them). I did not eat the chips in the car! I waited until lunch and had one serving and literally dumped the rest in the trash.
Accountability - Food add chips and a maple cookie, other wise I was an angel. 2 active minutes, 5,332 steps. 169.0 today, I may get on the rebounder or treadmill.
B- coffee, eggbeater cheese wrap
l - leftover chicken and salad
d - Robs chicken enchiladas
d- quest chips w/Robs 7-layer dip, apple
Have a wonderful day!

Thanks! I was on my phone earlier and couldn't read the info on the picture.
I really have liked seeing your pictures from your trip. All the stories my grandpa had told me about his time in N.Africa were very interesting. If you're ever interested in hearing any details let me know. One tidbit is he and his unit had to sleep with their helmets on because a lot of the locals hated the Germans. They'd come in at night and feel the helmets to see which side they were on. If they thought you were on the bad side they'd kill them in their sleep.

Not JB?! I hope she's feeling better soon. Sending many hugs to you guys.
