I am having zero issues drinking I am just starting soft food I dont feel the restriction I first had. but no chest pains no gerd and the surgeon found I had candy cane loop and also my pouch was not stretched at all. it was the hiatal hernia making a new pouch and food was getting stuck there and that was why I could eat so much but had major chest pain after almost everyday

I had surgery and its a amazing difference on Aug 19 to now I have lost 28 pounds no GERD no chest pain I am so glad I went through with it.

Surgeon said since now I'm on soft food Do not be alarmed next two week post op visit only about 2 pounds lost due to revision However he forecast me to be about 160 in a year. Surgery I was 230. It was the best decision I made honestly. And He cleared me to swim and work out nothing over 15 pounds and light working and I already dropped two more pounds just from doing that...

Morning gang. Not much going on here today. I've got a bunch of things to do to prepare for all the work being done on the house. And I'd like to get some more boxes finished before my class in CT next week.

Food and activity are on point. For some reason my weight stayed the same in spite of traveling last week. So that's a small win.

QOTD: You're giving away a petite size? I'm a petite size! Seriously, I have never been described as petite, or small, in my life. I was probably wearing a men's size small in grade school.

I recently read a book on the history of the spice Islands. The history is fascinating. But I don't want to eat any of it.

This was a recent article on one of the spice islands that I enjoyed. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/02/09/world/asia/indonesia-pula u-rhun-nutmeg.html?unlocked_article_code=1.IE4.dFLR.6ip_oV1o wbLd&smid=url-share

Good morning. I'm trying to rush all the things so I can convince myself to go to workout class and treadmill after being a couch potato yesterday. I did real well on food, all water all day, but under 6K steps and zero intentional exercise. On the plus side, my body is not as sore and stiff as it was yesterday.

After work out, I need/want to hit up a few stores and then home to hide in the AC. Hopefully before noon. I've got the house closed up and the AC set. We are expecting to get near 100 today and stay there for the next 10 days. Now through October are the worst of weather in San Diego in my opinion.

QoTD: Really good household items go to HomeAgain. They set up apartments for people transitioning out of crisis care and they really make it homey. I love that. Clothes and other stuff to Goodwill or DAV. And all towels, blankets, soft stuff I drop off at my vet's office since they always need it for bedding for the animals.

Bites today

B: egg and peppers and bacon. Done so I can work out during my regular breakfast time.

L: leftover chicken

D: ground pork, freshly baked squash, veggies, feta, maybe a few cranberries

Peace.

It's a chairmaking class. Specifically a Brian Boggs arm chair.

These are the cape penguins:-) when I was there, I thought they look a lot like the Magellan penguins we saw in chile but when I compare the pictures they really didn't!
