Happy surgiversary.
I think you are a double vet now, because if I remember correctly you become a vet after 5 years.

Glad your birthday escape went well and hope Grim's procedure does too! At least it hasn't been cancelled this time, that's progress!
Busy, busy early part of the week this week! I'm ready for it. Had a good, productive Sunday and relaxing Saturday and I've been working for a couple of hours already. I have one appt after work today and that's it.
qotd - no, I never really got into that although I've tried to periodically. Mostly I make something on Sunday that makes good leftovers when/if I'm trying it.
Coffee plus half and halfx1 plus 30 oz cold brew
light and for greek
birria street tacos on zero carb tortilla x2
have a marvelous Monday!

Good Monday morning! How cute you two are! We will all be waiting with bated breath for news that John is in recovery and doing awesome. He's still such an inspiration to me for such amazing weight loss and then regain and loss. What a star. Aside from being a super nice guy as well - you two just make me happy :)
My workout is done and I'm waiting to be called back for my mammogram. Some of you may recall I had to pay $500 last time (most was returned) and today it was $11. What is up with our system?
Q: I meal plan and prep way more than I want to! I'm tired!
B: a mini serving of cottage cheese mashed with a hard boiled egg
L: likely either one leftover slice of pizza or salmon and couscous
D: tbd but I have chicken sausages and deli turkey meat and asparagus so maybe that!
today is Wegovy shot day so I'm likely to be much less hungry. Yay!
G'morning all!
Swinging chickens for Grim!!! And what beautiful pics of him, and you. Sounds like you guys had a wonder time away.
We had a very restful and no plans weekend. Sometimes you need one of these weekends to just laze around and/or catch up with errands. I did both and I am ready for a very productive week.
QOTD - I meal prep my icecreams, does that count? Every afternoon I need to decide what flavor I want for the next day, prep it and put it in the freezer. I'm very proud of myself.
My meals yesterday:
- Coffee + Barebells bar
- Costco chicken skewers & cucumbers
- Protein icecream - caramel pecan
- Tuna pouch + Wilde chips
- E: 5 miles wog (took Sat as my rest day)
Happy start of the week!

I thought you were a vet at 5 years, not 10? Either way, congratulations!!

Is it even a Happy Hour if you haven't lost your calendar invite yet?

Good morning, everybody!
Looks like a great birthday weekend, hope everything goes smoothly for Grim today.
I had just the weekend that I needed to have. Caught up on triathlon stuff after two weekends away, battled the parslane successfully, did a bit of house organizing and watched the Olympics. Marilyn joined me on my bicycle ride yesterday. Friday's crab and tortellini dinner came out fantastic. My son was a little disappointed that we had to use crab meat instead of getting whole Dungeness crabs, but, hey, we are in the midwest. And it was 100% real crab. We paired it with a glass of Blanc de Blanc and it was heavenly.
Two weeks until the triathlon. This will be my last week of grinding (5 Crossfit, 4 swim, 2 run, one ride). Next week I will taper off with a few days of total rest before the event on Sunday morning.
I think that I said that we are going to Asia in September. Last night one of our friends sent us a 9 course Chinese meal, with pairings, at the hotel in Bangkok that we are staying at. As good as it looks, I just don't know how many course I would be able to eat, even if they are small and I am just taking a few bites. It pains me, but I think that i am going to have to pass. Unfortunately, I don't think that it is the kind of thing where 3 at the table order special dinner and I order off of the menu.
Today is my second to last swim class. I really want to wear my suit for it, so I'm going to try and swing by the house so that Marilyn can zip me.
QOTD: Not very good. But I never was, so its not like there has been a slippage.
Breakfast: bagel
Lunch: Catered
Dinner: Hamburgers
Have a great day, all!
