I was living in Washington DC years ago and there was a park like that. Right in the middle of a busy urban area, but once inside the park it was like being in an isolated forest. I would go there often to walk and enjoy the serenity after a busy work day.

I used to work with a guy whose wife was from Mexico. He would bring her homemade salsa to work and I could not stop eating it. I never found any as good. Sorry you are having so much trouble with the foot and hope they come up with a good solution at your appointment tomorrow.

If I am somewhere where are having spaghetti or other pasta, I ask for a plate with meatballs and sauce. I used to really love pastas, but would not even try to eat it now. I still wish I could. So sorry you went through that. It is strange that I can eat bread or pizza with no problems, because pasta and bread or pizza are both flour and water.

I think that is wonderful new about the windows and sounds like a very honest contractor. I had a guy once who came to give me an estimate to put railings on my front steps. It was an established business that I had used before and always been satisfied with. The guy who came out started by asking me how much money I had to set aside to do the project. I was somewhat floored and answered that I planned to pay whatever the cost of the railings and labor came to.
Then he asked me if $7000 was feasible. I told him no. The next company I called charged about $500. Later I talked with the owner of the first company. He had wanted to retire and turn the business over to that new person, but it did not work out. That guy was gone. There are some people out there who try to take advantage when it is a single woman and they think they can get away with anything. It was two iron railings, one on each side of three steps.
I know that is not what is happening with your windows, but I do believe that it sometimes better to fix what is already there instead of throwing it out and starting with everything new.

Some people were more affected by altitude than others. We had brought altitude pills but I didn't need them. Wait till you see the rainbow mountain pics, that was 17,000 feet. DH was GREEN!!!

I'm glad you're getting checked out. Take care of it now before it gets worse.
Haha! Are you referring to the trekking poles? Believe you me, we wouldn't have made it without those poles; both going up and coming down those poles were a god sent.
