The biggest mystery of all is what happened to them? Why did they leave? The Spaniards never found Machu Picchu, that's why it's intact, so why did the Incas leave?
I didn't know this but Incas didn't have a written language so most of the stuff we know is guess work. They had a very intricate knots on the rope as a way of communication in between locations, that obv captured DH's imagination. He wants to retire and work on solving the knot language, he says it's math.

Me too. I like historical fiction. If you find any good books about Machu Picchu, please share.

Imagine the work, to build a city in a place like that? And then to transport food there, every day. Life was hard work.

You guys look so great!

Getting our heads on track is the hardest part. For me it sure is. But you're hanging in there, that's the biggest thing. Keep swinging.

That's excellent! Stretching is so important for us as we age plus double important for desk workers too!

There are YouTube/National Geographic documentaries about it. Worth the time.

Amazing, it is someplace that has always fascinated me. But I doubt I could do the altitude, I got altitude sickness in Denver so 3 times the altitude I doubt that I'd do well.
