Hey all. We've been out to Loews already, looking at dishwashers. Ours finally cramped out. I'm not sure how old it is, but it's old. I'm just not happy about getting down on the ground to disconnect the old and connect the new. I haven't kneeled since I got the new knees.

And the gas company called! There's a chance they can put the meter on today, so we might have ho****er again! Yay!

It's finally getting to be fall-like here, which makes sense, because Sunday is officially fall. For the next week the highest daily temperature we'll have is 68, with lows in the 50s every night.

I hope you all have a great weekend. I plan on being lazy.

Here a picture of my class at chair camp last week. I still haven't put finish on, because the seat is made of hickory bark, and was put on dripping wet. I'll post a picture when it's got finish applied.

Morning Everyone. Things are finally starting to slow down both at home and at work. Which is good because I was starting to get burnt out with everything going on.

Last weekend we celebrated my mom's 80th birthday. Had some sibling drama the two weeks leading up to it, but the party ended up being great.

JB I highly recommend getting a silk bonnet to put your hair in at night. I know it sounds crazy, but I stumbled upon this lady on FB who explained that curly/wavy hair needs special care at night. She said they are not specifically for black women, but for all races. Since she is also a small business owner who makes the bonnets, I purchased a blue one with unicorns and for the past 3 weeks have been wearing it to bed. Every morning my hair is soft, and the curls still look great. I wish I had known this years ago. CC Mink Hair is her FB page. Love this woman.

Tomorrow my mom and I go to the Mystic Garlic Festival. I have to get more garlic for planting and I hope the organic garlic vendor from last year is there again as I have pre-orders for more black garlic. I'm going to have to get at least 30 more bulbs to fill the orders. Crazy how many people really like the stuff.

Has anyone heard of a vibration plate fitness platform? I ordered one and it's supposed to be in today. This is what they say they do. "Power Plate vibrates up to 50 times a second sending tiny vibrations through your body. These tiny micro vibrations activate more muscles, burn more calories, improve circulation, and assist muscle recovery"

QOTD: My Little Pony was my favorite, but I also had a Strawberry Shortcake one.

B Eggs and spinach

L Ham and swiss wrap

D Fried eggplant (I've been using almond flour instead of breadcrumbs or pork rinds and it's pretty darn good)

Me and my granddaughter Annabelle at my mom's party.

My mom. She looks dam good for 80. Still works full-time.

Have a wonderful day everyone.

Check out the calming collar for cats. I think it's a little more effective because it doesn't get diffused in the air--it's always around their neck. One of our cats eventually seemed to develop a big of an allergy to it, and his skin got raw underneath, but that was after many many months, and it really helped.

That was so nice of you! Thanks very much. All I was able to accomplish was leaving a phone message, but I was never called back.

Good morning ~ So happy it's Friday! It was a productive week, but rough and I'm thrilled it's almost over. I'm working half day today, meeting DS for lunch and errands, then grocery shop and home. We've had living furniture delivered throughout the week, the last box will be delivered today. Our weekend plans are assembling, moving and cleaning. We unpacked the ottoman last night and I'm in love - we all are especially Chloe. Lots to do this weekend including arranging the garage to store our current set for DS when he moves to a bigger place soon. I need to get my workout room in order, my donation pile has taken over and I need them out of there. Tons to do so no lazy bones for me this weekend. I had that last weekend and will have it again next weekend, lol.

QOTD - I had a tin Holly Hobbie lunch box too! It's the only one I can remember having. I was in 1st or 2nd grade and I absolutely loved it.

Accountability - great, 42 active minutes, 9,070 steps and crashed hard in the recliner. I need to be checking my step count sooner than bedtime. Today I am 167.2 - definitely dehydrated yesterday and feeling better today. 30 minutes done of the treadmill.

B- coffee, yogurt

l - jersey mike's sub in a tub

d - TBD

s - apple, string cheese, jerky

Have a great day!

All of the pics you have posted have been unbelievable but the rainbow mountain is one of the most incredible things I have ever seen! Absolutely stunning. I am surprised I have not seen pictures of it before and didn't know it existed.

So happy that you got the trip of a lifetime :)

Hey Grim -

I just checked my email and this message was in there - here you go:

"Good Morning,

I noticed the payment was for the incorrect state when I processed our online payments. Notification was sent to our Finance Department for a refund on either Tuesday or Wednesday so he should be getting a refund either by card or check in the mail. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Have a great day!"

Mornin' All!

I'm up starting some sourdough bread this morning (I rarely eat it, other than the Danish rye kind - but DH goes through a loaf in about three days, it seems. If I don't make it, he's coming home with a loaf). I'm meeting a friend for coffee at 9:00, and then it's off to campus again this afternoon to see Liz Cheney. Between times, I have GOT to do some reading for my classes. And maybe bike for an hour or two if the weather cooperates.

QOTD: I went to three elementary schools, two of which I walked home for lunch (my first elementary school didn't even have a cafeteria, so we all walked home). I did bring my lunch at the school I went to for grades 3-5, though. One of those years I had a Doctor Doolittle lunch box, because the movie came out the summer before (in 1968). I do remember I had a lunch box one of those years that I was super excited about, but I can't remember if it was that one or not - and I don't have any memory at all of the lunchboxes I had the other two years (weird that I had a new one every year! But I think most kids did).

coffee with half & half

skyr with fruit

latte with 2% milk and SF syrup

Taco fixins without the tortilla

protein shake

I'll probably bring a protein bar to campus later on since I'm going to get there super early to get a good seat, so I probably won't have time for dinner

have a good day, everyone!
