Good morning ~ Less raccoonish is a good thing! I had another productive day - lots of planning, organizing and getting things done. I'm back to dreaming about finding a new job or moving to Mexico again. I've got a few problems that I don't have solutions for and until I do - new job and Mexico dreams - they are my go to for escape. Today, I am writing procedures mostly. This week is almost over thankfully. I can't wait for the weekend - it will be a good one.

Accountability - I was insatiable yesterday - added quest chips, beef jerky x2, yasso bar x2 and ate my lunch before 11 am. 53 exercise minutes and 8,610 steps. Today I am 169.0 and I have 30 minutes done on the treadmill.

B- coffee, legendary pastry

l - RGF burrito, greek yogurt and salsa

d - chicken with greek salad

s - cuties, parm and pepperoni, cucumbers and tajin

Have a great day!

Happy Thursday everyone! Glad you're feeling better JB. Sometimes you just need to hang on the couch and chill.

The weather is definitely getting cooler here in CT. I had to be to work for 6:30 this morning which I made it right on time. Today is our second employee appreciation luncheon which is a Hawaiian Luau they are cooking a whole pig on site. The first one was on Tuesday, and it was a Texas BBQ. The guys are all excited.

Of course, the goat was like why the hell are you out here at 4:30 to milk me I'm still sleeping. LOL

QOTD: Yes I have by a guy I dated for 5 years before I met my husband, and can I tell you all I got sweet revenge on him. I know I haunt his nightmares every single time he goes to sleep. ? I'm not a person to cross as you will pay the price.

Besides another coffee my food for the day is going to be a little bit of the following. I have to try a little bit of everything.

roasted Kahlua pig,

pulled pork,

chicken teriyaki,

Hawaiian roasted vegetables,

sweet and spicy noodles,

mandarin orange and toasted almond salad,

tropical fruit medley,

pina colada passion dessert,

New England clam chowder and clam cakes,

spring rolls,

coconut shrimp,

pork pot stickers,

cole slaw,

pistachio cannoli cake and lemon coconut cake.

I hope everyone has a great day!!!!

Woke 4 AM to clean apartment before 8:30 PT appointment.

Found the spoiled salsa that was generating the flies n midges , filed ( count em! EIGHTEEN !! LF or FF salad dressings off a six foot kitchens tiny counter ?
Filing coffee and tea masalas, oriental sauce jars and pasta and rice ( which I rarely use ) separately.

Oh and half the bags taking up my living room were organic chicken broth and envelopes of milk - who knew ? so I?ve been essentially pretty scared of fixing nothing special.

Unfortunately bottom of my foot is hurting so unpacking car ( absent supers cooperation) and planting three trees will still be a beast ? but have hope now that apartment will eventually be a friendly, clean and organized space.

Yesterday was another small pouch day -B & L as planned had a half bottle good wine before opera ( Grounded ) and a bit more later. No appetite for salad as planned.

Fit- beatch counts sixteen miles walked in three days - no wonder stomach rolls look smaller !

Dont keep scale at home but will weigh in urologists office tomorrow morning.

I personally am planning to BEG for a Botox injection tomorrow to help my spastic bladder though strengthening my pelvic floor with walking is already helping a lot. Sitting lazily on my butt caused this ( and aging )

Yesterday I showed up for what I most dread to do ( and before 2:30 in the afternoon like the day before lol) . As a result snagged grant interview appointment for Friday.

B- chai tea latte , ff sf hot chockachino ( am feeling DEAD no kidding ) hoping to unpack car n plant a little. Dishes, clean sheets maybe laundry. Tosca tonite then no more opera till back from Florida next month hopefully ( saw everything available now )

Maybe will see Alvin Ailey Harlem Dance Theater before I go but last year they?re grounded and undemanding ? modern ? new offerings were SUCH a boring disappointment that I?m dreading it. When you need to repeat ( the same) sixty year old original founders ( now dead 30 years ) most popular number every single performance to satisfy your audience AT ALL ? you know you?ve gotten complacent n lazy.

American Ballet Theater holds promise with some newer compositions - we?ll see otherwise might have to cross the river to Brooklyn lol!

L and D - tbd . Lawyer seeking today - please wish me luck !

PS - might take CLASSES at Alvin Ailey though - jes twenty bux , difficult, utterly public ( the rehearsal studio is glass fronted onto the street - always draws an audience) and physically very demanding- jes the way I like it :)

Good mornin everyone. Glad you got so much rest and that you're feeling better QJB!

Nothing much planned for the day. A trip to Sam's and my moms wanting to mow some. We may also got to a local grocery store. My niece Riley, is staying the night tomorrow night,p so we need just a few groceries. My mom is convinced that there is going to be a TP shortage again. Due to the port strike. So we'll be getting TP at Sam's

My digestive tract is really starting to make me angry. I'm just sick of it. Does anyone here have experience with probiotics? Do they work for our altered system? If I can't get it under sontrol I'll be calling Monday to try to get in to see my PCP early.

QOTD! Not that I'm aware of but my experience is very very small

food is unplanned and iffy at this point. My stomach feels like it did when I had to stop Ozempic.

Morning all. Well, a day on the couch was just what the doctor ordered. I got the maximum amount of rest that a person can get. I feel much better and maybe I look a little less raccoonish? I got less than zero steps and rotted my brain with true crime documentaries and I'd call it a good day. Back to reality today, though.

QOTD: Have you ever been cheated on? I don't think I have, but who knows, I guess. I have had friends over the years who found out their SOs were cheating and some of them stayed together and some didn't, but I have always known that I don't have the temperament to forgive. One of the documentaries I watched yesterday had a woman forgive her husband for terrible awful cheating and I wanted to jump through the screen and shake them both.

Accountability: I really think I managed to be in the negative for my step count, lol. I suppose I must have walked from the couch to the bathroom to pee a few times, but that's the max activity I had for the day. I eventually felt hungry and I had a few bites, but nothing that resembled a meal. I just had a few sips of coffee and it turned my stomach, so I don't feel like making a menu, but here is my best guess:

  • protein coffee
  • egg bites
  • chicken & broccoli
  • chickpea tortellini

Last year they had candy corn popcorn, don't get it. Now it is Reese's PB popcorn. Both of these are fatal attractions.

G'morning all!

JB - hope you feel better. Some days your memes are so spot on that I look around to see if you've been in my house. Last night I sat down with my ice cream and DH asked me a question. I didn't realize this but I guess I just gave him a dagger. He said, oh sorry, I had forgotten your icecream moment is your zen moment and I shouldn't bother you. And they say old dogs can't learn new tricks!!

QOTD: I am way behind on shows. Just started Ashlie Madison on Hulu. DH loves Shameless on Netflix but that family stresses the heck out of me. Emily in Paris is now in Rome, Italy tok cracks me up complaining about inconsistencies and how this and that can never happen irl.

My meals yesterday:

  • Coffee
  • Burrito bowl (no rice, nor beans), few chips w/guac
  • Epic chicken
  • Protein Icecream - mixed berry
  • E: strength training

Happy hump day!

QOTD- Peaky Blinders is all I can come up with.

Still fighting off this cold, I am barely functioning. But I have too much work to take a sick day, and I honestly don't think it would help. Except for giving my brain a rest.

Definitely fall and much cooler at night in the low 40's. I feel guilty but I run the heat in the morning and the A/C in the afternoon if it's too warm. I like to sleep in a cooler room, after all I have 2 heaters aka kitties that usually are attached to my sides. It was so dark this morning, definitely shorter days, the dark and winter is coming.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning! It's not quite as spooky out this morning. Which is good because I am going to self forced to walk in it.

I had a good day all around yesterday. I did make it to the gym, though I opted out of the fitness class. 50 minutes on the treadmill, 40 minutes on the weight machines. 94 minutes of exercise over all and 10,740 steps. Food was mostly on point. But PSA -- don't buy the maple kettle corn from TJ's. It's dangerous. And I had just the one glass of wine i promised myself during the debate. Civil discourse. I can be done after all!

Today I am taking my car in for an oil change at the dealership and then walking the long way home. That should net me about 3 miles I think. I cleaned out drawers yesterday and I am aiming to clean out my bathroom cabinet today. And I need to put out the Halloween decorations. I've got fall everywhere so I just need to add the Jack o'lanterns and the silly stuff.

QoTD: Emily in Paris dropped a new season. And The Great British Bake Off started last week.

Bites today

B: undecided. We'll see what I'm wanting after the walk

L: BLT made in butter lettuce and pop chips

D: trying cheese cracker coated chicken tenders made with Quest cheddar crackers. And I really have to roast up these baby eggplants from my farmer delivery.

Peace!
