If you have 2 or more disorders from being severely morbidly obese you should do it. It changed my health and my mobility. My only regret is not doing it sooner.

We have some really cold weather on the way. I noticed -12 for Tuesday. Good weather to stay inside if you don't have to go out. My husband did not like vacations and I went with others and he stayed home a lot. He just did not do well in new situations and got nervous if he made a wrong turn or was in a place where he did not know everyone and everything. He did used to say that the minute people go back from vacation they started planning their next one. I love adventure and doing new things. And I do start working on the next vacation as soon as I get home from one.

I had oxtail soup when staying at a bed and breakfast that was run by a German woman. Like everything she prepared for us, the soup was excellent. I ordered orange chicken from a Chinese takeout last night and remembered why I like to make my own instead. It was just too much sugar and a lot of cornstarch breading and I did not enjoy it. I have my own recipe that I got from Mel last year and it is so much better. I am going to make my own and throw the takeout away.

I used to really love going to the movies. Back in the day, it was usually dinner and a movie every Saturday night. The movie theather was crowded then and you ran into a lot of friends. Now my hearing is not good and I stay at home and use closed caption. The movie theatherdoes have special glasses that enable closed caption, but I find them tricky and sometimes they do not work at all. I would probably enjoy one of the newer theathers where they have things like reclining seats to sit in. I would still go to an I-Max because I love the huge screen performances.

If you go during the week, you might be the only person there and I can't figure out how theathers even survive now.

Good morning, everyone!

Last night I was thinking about when we go on vacation again and I realized that we have only been back for 2 1/2 weeks. Ugh. For the record, it's 6 more weeks.

What a difference between weather in the 30's versus the teens or low 20's. It was so much easier to get out the door and swim this morning. This mini thaw is only for a few more days.

This should be a good weekend. We have an inter-gym competition Saturday to get people excited for the CrossFit Open. Sunday I am doing an indoor mini triathlon, it's just a 10 minute swim, 10 minutes to get dressed, 30 minute stationary bicycle and 20 minutes run on a treadmill. It's been a minute since I've used a treadmill, though.

Other than that it's mostly going to be NFL playoffs and the College Football Championship on Monday night.

QOTD: We will go to Studio Movie Grill about once a year. Occasionally, I will buy videos at Target and watch them on the DVD. But mostly HBO. That's where I watched Hot Tub Time Machine 2, and Piranha 3DD.

Breakfast: Bagel

Lunch: Steak and Hash Browns

Dinner: Maybe leftover lamb

Have a great day, all!

I love porkchops, but they can get dry fast and cause issues. I started cooking them in my cast iron pan with a gravy. I pan sear first then add a gravy usually an onion mushroom one and bake covered for an hour. So far every time they are tender and juicy.

Morning gang. We got a dusting of snow last night, but the weekend is supposed to be 40 and rainy. Then down to the single digits next week. Brrr.

Eating has been decent. I made us porkchops last night. I hadn't tried them in about 10 years. It didn't go well either time. Porkchops and pasta are on my no-fly list.

QOTD: Mostly at home, but i still like going to the theater. JB and I will go now and then, and I have a BFF that i'll go to a movie with that JB won't like.

Have a great weekend!

We get several cats, racoon families, a couple of possums, and two different species of skunks. It's the wild kingdom out here.

Good Morning, yay for FriYAY! I hope the siblings make up soon- lol. I am ready for 5:00 already. I actually have plenty to do to make the day go quick. I'll work at home a few hours over the weekend so our payroll day Monday can be a bit smother. Nothing else too exciting though.

You can still have a small farm and not raise the animals for food. My mom has I don't know how many chickens, a donkey, a horse, 3 sheep, 2 pea****s, 2 cats, and 2 dogs. She sometimes collects the eggs from the chickens, but they are all just pets.

The sky in the Summer is great. I love just laying on the lawn at night and seeing the stars.
