Hey gang. More getting ready for the holiday. I like the straightening up, but I dislike cleaning down low. Down low sucks.

QOTD: I've never traveled more than a short drive for Thanksgiving or Christmas. I know it's common, but I really don't know anyone who does. It doesn't seem like fun.

Good morning, everyone!

I am about halfway through my busy spot. Dinner was fine last night, I ordered an elk chop that was very good. My doctors appointment this morning was pretty uneventful. I have been having some ringing in my ear, so I'm going to have a hearing test.

Made it into the office for my call, I need to do one thing, lunch and I'm taking off after that. Hopefully back in the burbs for 2:30 CrossFit. Tomorrow I have swimming at 6:00 AM and then I will feel like I'm in holiday mode.

QOTD: We have spent Thanksgiving in Florida a couple of times, and gone to family in New England a couple of times.

Breakfast: bagel

Lunch: steak

Dinner: pasta

Have a great day, all!

Good Morning Jen and Meneurs.

Well, if you think your Meisha is a little diva, go ahead and get that English. I had a Lab in the past that would do everything to please you. He was amazing. He would get your shoes and get the paper. He would go out and do his bathroom breaks on his own. Nothing ever bothered him he truly was a great all-around dog. My English lives so that I do everything for him. To the point that when he comes in the house, he makes me wipe his bum. He will stare at me until I do what he wants. He has a low growl to let me know when I am not fulfilling his needs and the constant petting. We have to have 1/2-hour petting sessions. I will be watching a movie and not paying attention then all of a sudden, he will come flying off the floor and land in my lap with no warning, because I wasn't paying attention. I tell him he's a good boy but, in all reality, he is so f'n cute I let him get away with everything.

QOTD: No, I have always been in my hometown for the holiday.

We used to travel to Joe's family in West Virginia every other year for Thanksgiving. It was about 250 miles so a good part of the morning. I have a memory of driving back late at night on a very icy road next to the Ohio River. It was a very dark, curvy road, and terrifying. I love traveling on a dry road in the daytime. I had Thanksgiving at my house every year for a long time. I have family in North Carolina and they own a resturant. They will have a big Thanksgiving dinner. One year, I will go there for the holiday. But this year just across town to my sister's house.

I am a cat lover. I think Persian cats are cute with squashy faces. One cat I would love to have owned is the Bengal cat. They are half Asian wild cat and look like little leopards. I would only have one if I lived in a large house with a lot of room for it to play. They are very active and also can be very destructive, but so unusual.

Good mornin y'all!

two appointments today. Ugh. PT and my PCP. One right after the other so a total of at least three hours away from home, can you tell I'm a homebody? lol

Yesterday's appointment went better than I had hoped. Only an hour and a half but it was only the testing. One stick for the dye test! Woo! I go back next Monday and that'll be the one that will be a longer wait.

I found out SS is saying they overpaid me so I owe them almost 500 dollars over the past three years. They'll take almost a hundred dollars a month starting next year to pay it back. I had tried to earn a little extra money to pay off my dental bill debt. How dare I. Just perturbed.

QOTD: for most of my life, if not all, thanksgiving has been here in my hometown. Usually at this house which was my grandparents. I've never traveled more than 15 miles to attend thanksgiving dinner.

B: eggs, cheese and coffee.

L: ???

D: air fryer orange chicken thing we have had for a while in the freezer

hoping everyone has a wonderful day!

An older piece I designed. One of my favorite things to make is useless bobbles lol

Good Morning! Back to reality after a great time off. This week will go by fast though. I know today will be trying to play catch up but it was so worth it. And, I've joined royalty with my first crown yesterday (a follow up from my dentist appt a few weeks ago). I have a few more appointments to get through to be done with this round.

QOTD: I've never had to travel for Thanksgiving. I can't imagine having to be in an airport this week.

TSS: 10 years 3 months

B: SF latte, 3 turkey sausage links, and an orange

L: Turkey and cheese sticks, light and fit yogurt and some fruit

S: A piece of fruit, protein puffs and yogurt

D: TBD

ES: Protein ice cream and carbmaster toast

E: 1/2 hour elliptical and 2 miles on treadmill

V/W: On track

Totals: TBD

Have a great day!

Tuesday another day closer to the weekend. I always wanted an English Bulldog they just have the cutest smoosh face.

I got my stuffing bread and dinner rolls so my shopping is 100% complete for Thanksgiving. Now I will just start prepping things.

Meisha had a bit of a tummy ache this morning and was dry heaving so I took her out for a little walk. She spit up some bile and then wagged her tail. I think she just wanted her breakfast and I was taking too long to get it ready. When we came back in I gave her a little goat milk while I finished making it and she seemed fine after she ate. I swear she's like a little diva sometimes.

Just a full day of work today and then 3 hours tomorrow and then I'm off until next Monday.

QOTD: Have you ever had to travel a long distance to get somewhere for Thanksgiving? In the past I would go to my mom's for dinner, but she only ever lived no more than 20 minutes from me. I've been cooking dinner for a good 15 plus years, so we don't go anywhere anymore.

B: coffee and protein shake

L: Tuna melt

D: roast chicken

Have a great day everyone!!!

G'Afternoon!

my life seems like a whirlwind lately - and it won't let up for a while, unfortunately. I have my hip replacement surgery on Dec 18th and am looking forward to spending several days in my pajamas just reading and watching movies (and getting up to walk around the house several times a day, I'm guessing - they want you using the thing right away). Before then, in addition to everything else, I have to get this house in order. We'll have a cat sitter coming in every day to help DH with the cats. All four get meds, but I may only be able to handle one of them for a while after my surgery (he's easy-peasy - never puts up a fight). Two of them can be a huge struggle to medicate and I'm not sure I'll be able to do it will standing with a walker - and a third is good with meds in general but gets subcutaneous fluids, and I'm not sure I'll be able to do the fluids for the first couple of weeks. So at least we'll have help - but I don't want her to see this messy house!

QOTD: there will only be three of us this year (me, DH, and my mom), so I'm getting take-out dinners for us. So I won't be making anything. I'm actually kind of relieved - making Thanksgiving dinner is a lot of work!

coffee with half & half

rye crumpet with light butter and jam

plain skyr topped with cooked, diced apples in homemade SF apple butter

protein shake

Lesser Evil popcorn

probably taco filling with tomatoes, plain Greek yogurt, and salsa for dinner

have a great rest of your day!
