What's on your Monday menu?
Good Monday morning all. Here's to the start of another week. Two more days left for this outage and then hopefully we are good until the Fall outages. Didn't do too much the weekend except burn some wood outside yesterday as the day was perfect for it and some small outside cleanup.
QOTD: Would you rather speak every language in the world or be able to speak to animals? 100% speak to animals. It would make things so much easier to be able to talk with animals especially if they are sick or injured. Then they can tell you what hurts.
B: coffee and 2 hard boiled eggs
L: seafood salad
D: leftover turkey
30 minutes on the treadmill
Have a great day everyone!!!
Good morning, everyone!
I had a great weekend. Saturday was the 10-k. I jogged the whole way and actually went at a faster pace than the 8-k two weeks ago. Hopefully shaking off the winter's rust. There was a band and a hot dog and beer for the finishers. We actually have another race next weekend, but it's only an untimed 3-K.
Saturday night, I fell asleep on the couch and missed the epic ending of Houston/Duke. I think that I will win a little in the pool whatever happens tonight, but more if Florida pulls it out. I may go to CrossFit before the game.
Yesterday, I went fishing with my son. We got sandwiches at Jersey Mikes, ate a picnic and fished for a couple of hours. It was opening day, so the Lake was absolutely mobbed. We are going to try again next weekend, but start much earlier to beat the crowds.
QOTD: Speak every language. I fear the animals are mocking me.
Breakfast: bagel
Lunch: catered
Dinner: Chicken
Have a great day, all!

Jim, it great how well you do with running. I get tired thinking about it. And the fishing sounds like so much fun. What kind of fish you go after and do you catch and release or take them home for meals?
I would love to have my cat talk back and explain what is wrong. I had him groomed yesterday and a very short cut. He has so much heavy hair and it is so hard to keep vacuumed up. But he seemed like he was in shock after the trim which is shaved on his body with just a maine and big ball on his tail like a lion.
I felt terrible and he was so sad all afternoon. He is acting better today. I always worried about people going into a kind of shock when too much hair was removed at once. This is the first time I had a cat groomed that way. But it should really help with no needing to constantly clean up shedding hair.
We are back to cold and rainy days again. But getting so much closer to spring and lots of daffidals and tulips coming up. It feels like it should be Easter but that is so late this year. It should be a lot nicer for egg hunts. We have had them in the snow some years. So looking forward to warm sunny days again.

Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Thanks, Mary! I was looking at the results for the rest of my gym's group and they were all in the 25-29 age group. It's amazing how quickly you can get in shape at that age.
Ordinarily we fish for small and large mouth bass and some panfish. We would generally release all of those. As Chrissy pointed out, this weekend was Spring Trout season. We probably would have kept those: they are stocked fish in small lake and won't winter over with all the fishing pressure they get.
In Florida, mostly Seatrout, Grouper, Snapper, Redfish, and Snook. Most of those we will keep some and release some. Snook have very tight limits. I've never had it, but I know Liz has and said it's good.
We are planning for a Costa Rica fishing trip next May. That will be big stuff: Sailfish, tuna, etc.

Good morning, Jennifer and Menuer's,
Weekend was nice and calm, and I may have actually relaxed for a few minutes. I am hopping this next 2 days of cold weather and snow opportunities are the last of it till the fall. I am on a countdown to vacation. I am less than a month out and I need it badly. I just realized Easter is only 2 weeks away and our company closes for Good Friday. So, looking forward to the short week next week. Mom is done with bowling, and they loved the brownies I sent. They even reached out for the recipe. She will start summer bowling sometime in May and it will change to Monday's. It will keep her busy.

Good morning all and Happy Monday
, I had a eventful weekend. My mom had a stroke and I'm grateful that she sought medical intervention when she noticed she was having a problem with balance and really dizzy. It's going to be a lot of PT. Her balance, dizziness and wonky eye need serious recovery. It was also her birthday yesterday and I'm glad she was up for celebrating. We did a nice Wildfire prime rib dinner and I brought a 6lb Eli's
Other than that, I played poker, and got to spend quality time with Paula went to a funeral of an 88 year old friend who fell last week. He was an extremely good human being. He became a nurse so he could be a missionary in Africa. He spent 20 years in Africa, met his wife there, and had 3 children, 7 grandchildren, and 12 great grandkids. I'm grateful we meet and I'm happy to have called him a friend.
