Morning all we have halfway through the week again. Our VP of the company and two HR people are here today bright and early. Not 100% sure why, but I know it has nothing to do with me so I'll just sit back and listen to what goes on in the conference room. There is a goodbye luncheon for a co-worker who is leaving to become a CT correctional officer. Kind of a bummer because he is one of the good employees who is a hard worker.

Got some more stuff sorted through in the office last night and I found the dump trailer registration renewal that was due last February apparently dum dum me put it in there and then totally forgot about it. Now to find out what I have to do to get it reregistered. This is why I make a list of things to do because I just can't remember everything.

QOTD: Do you make a list of things that you need to do or work on? I try to write stuff down that I know I have to do or get done. If I don't well then, they usually don't get done which gets frustrating.

B: coffee and 2 egg omelet

L: Jersey Mike's tuna bowl

D: grilled teriyaki chicken

30 minutes on the treadmill

Have a great day everyone!!!

Good morning, everybody!

The chili came out really good, but I kind of messed up when I was scooping mine out. I think that most of the meat had settled to the bottom of the slow cooker and I didn't stir it before I took my portion. So, I got a lot of beans and vegetables yesterday. I guess today's lunch will be the opposite. I certainly wouldn't have been able to have a second portion just to get proportions correct.

Swimming was crowded today. Usually, if I am not done with my whole workout by 7:00, I just stay extra and fini**** but today there were reserved lane swimmers all across the pool at 7:00. I ended up having to leave after 1320 of the 1520 meter workout. Not a big deal, but I do like to finish.

Tonight is Heart. We will leave Chicago at about 4:00 and grab dinner before the show. I am thinking of going to this German place called Mader's. I guess it has been in downtown Milwaukee for 120 years. No doubt that Laverne & Shirley went there after shift. Cheap Trick is warming up. It seems like they warm up for everybody now.

QOTD: Yes, I still use a paper planner to write out my appointments and to do's for the day, week, etc. And always a different color Uniball Pen each year. I think that after I retire, I will stick with the same system. Just the appointments will be different.

Breakfast: bagel

Lunch: Chili

Dinner: TBD

Have a great day, All!

Oh, I love me a good Sauerbraten and potato pancake. We have not had a good German restaurant around these parts since the early 90's.

Good mornin y'all!

Busy day ahead. Groceries and my mom is looking for shoes. We all know how long that can take. We'll try to get a few things done around the house. We need to put an a/c unit in the living room. We've been trying to avoid it but it needs to be done. Temps are getting into the low to mid 80's more often than not. This house holds onto the heat like crazy.

QOTD: not really. I should as I think it's a good thing. I'm just bad bad bad at organization

B: breakfast burrito and coffee

L: shrimp and maybe something else

D: pork tenderloin stuffed with hatch green chilies and some green beans

this struck me as funny! I always have hope no matter how often it is dashed. If that makes me stupid so be it.

I used Franklin planner for years. Ended up using their software and pages that went in the printer. I quit when I retired and after awhile started missing appointments and forgetting to do things. I ended up creating a Word document To Do list. I spend 15 minutes every do adding and removing tasks. I have friends who never plan and never write things down. I need that structure or worry that I am forgetting things.
