Happy Tuesday!! So cold out poor Meisha didn't even want to go out to go potty. Lucky for her I have the big garden/greenhouse so she just had to run quickly to that instead of walking around in the snow. Her paws were getting cold walking in the snow and she won't let me put booties on them.

Doesn't look like much happened at work yesterday since my desk doesn't have an notes on it or any messages on my phone. I wish I could have stayed home today just not feeling like working.

QOTD: If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be? Honestly I'm not sure. It would have to be a place that doesn't get these rotten subzero temps and I need to be near the ocean for fishing purposes which I guess kinda puts several places out of the running. I might choose New Zealand. The scenery is beautiful and they filmed LOTR maybe I can live in a Hobbit Hole.

B: coffee

L: oxtails and rice

D: sliced ham and green beans

I'm going to pull my little space heater out since it's chilly here in the office.

Have a great day everyone!!!

Good mornin to everyone!

we're hoping to stay home today. It got down below zero last night. It's currently 31° in Corpus Christi and 27° in Houston. Also snowing in those places. Highly unusual,

Ms.Tange's wounds are already almost all healed up!

Yesterday's appointment went ok. He thinks I have rotator cuff bursitis. I got a special kind of steroid shot that isn't spiking my BS's as badly as most do. He wanted to do an MRI but alas I can't. So I go back in 3 months to see if it helps in the long term, so far it feels a tad bit better.

QOTD: right in this moment there are a lot of places. New Zealand is a place I'd love to live for a bit. Maybe parts of Ireland on Scotland.

B: eggs, sausage and cheese + coffee

L: chicken soup

D: chicken with Brie.

It is up to 1 degree here now but going down to -11 today. I could live anywhere I wanted and have considered many places. In the end I have stayed in the small town where I was born because that is where my friends and and family are. I love to visit beautiful places but find people are what matter long term.

Good morning, everybody!

When Marilyn drove me to the train station this morning, her car thermometer was reading 13 degrees below Fahrenheit. That seems a little fake, but it?s cold this morning.

I am all bundled up: jeans, sweater, my Shearling coat, hat and running gloves. Hiking boots this week also. Really the coldest part is waiting for my bus when I get off the train. It?s free and a taxi is $10, so I try and take it.

The indoor triathlon was pretty fun on Sunday, I swam 400 meters in my allotted 10 minutes, rode 8.7 miles in the allotted 30 minutes, and ran 1.72 miles in 20 minutes. Next time I will shoot to do a bit better, particularly in the cycle - I felt like I had more in the tank.

Running outside is not going to happen until the weather improves.

QOTD: Bermuda; beach, fishing, temperate weather and good food, etc.

Breakfast: Bagel

Lunch: stuffed shells

Dinner: TBD

Have a great day, all!

My morning 30min cycle is usually 8.5 miles. It is not a full-on sprint though we use weights and do arm stuff and also do climbs changing the tension on the bikes. Do you use bike shoes that clip in?

I prefer the clips. However, I finally bought a pair of my own. Before I used the gyms a few times to determine if it was something worth investing in and I ended up with Athletes foot. I would not recommend using the shoes the gym provides.

Good afternoon everyone! I hope you have all been well! I pop in from time to time to read, I really need to get myself back to being a regular.

-1 here this morning

I celebrated my 10 year surgiversary on November 19!! 2nd best decision of my life, the first was asking my lovely wife to marry me! (32 years in October)

I am still doing well on Mounjaro, my A1c is staying below 5.5 and my weight has been hovering at 195 +/- 3 lbs....

I am very happy that 2024 is behind me, it was the most challenging year of my career, I took over the planning group last February, the planners had been with us for a month, we installed a new fragrance filling line, a new auto cartoner and a new bath filling line. We had a reduction in force at several points during the year and during the last quarter our formulation team began reporting to me. The staff is wonderful, and we are improving our efficiency on a weekly basis. Enough work talk.

Joddie and I are counting the days until our cruise in March, we are flying into San Juan on 03/26, will spend 4 nights at a VRBO we rented with 3 other couples and then jump on the NCL Viva with stops in the DR, Aruba, Curacao, St Lucia & St Kitts. we are ready for a vacation!

QOTD - I really like the area we live in, I do wish we had a lake front home though I would be complaining about taxes! I hope to spend at least 3 months away during the winter...but have many years before I plan to retire.

B - Berries and a ham roll up

S - apple

L - Ham roll ups with cream cheese

S - Orange

D - Mississippi Pot roast and turnip
