Finally Friday's Menu
I had oxtail soup when staying at a bed and breakfast that was run by a German woman. Like everything she prepared for us, the soup was excellent. I ordered orange chicken from a Chinese takeout last night and remembered why I like to make my own instead. It was just too much sugar and a lot of cornstarch breading and I did not enjoy it. I have my own recipe that I got from Mel last year and it is so much better. I am going to make my own and throw the takeout away.
I used to really love going to the movies. Back in the day, it was usually dinner and a movie every Saturday night. The movie theather was crowded then and you ran into a lot of friends. Now my hearing is not good and I stay at home and use closed caption. The movie theatherdoes have special glasses that enable closed caption, but I find them tricky and sometimes they do not work at all. I would probably enjoy one of the newer theathers where they have things like reclining seats to sit in. I would still go to an I-Max because I love the huge screen performances.
If you go during the week, you might be the only person there and I can't figure out how theathers even survive now.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Good morning Jennifer and Menuers,
Wow this week flew with all the training. I am playing catch up now from all the meetings all week. I had a debit card hacked and had to go to bank to upgrade this morning. It happened Monday but this was the first chance I had to get into the bank. They say they have 5-10 instances a day like this. So crappy. I have gym scheduled for tomorrow morning and the rest of the weekend I need to make pizzelles and I am making Venison Ravioli to get in the freezer for Rons B-day party. Not till February 23 but I like being prepared.

We had Buona Beef cater our lunch yesterday: Italian Beef sandwiches and ravioli (not as good as yours). Made the meeting worthwhile!

QOTD- I used to have an unlimited pass for Regal Cinemas, but so few good movies have been coming out I cancelled it. I realized I don't go often enough to make it pay. My favorite theater has the reclining seats and I try to find the early showing with very few people. One movie I was the only one in the theater.
I haven't worked many hours this week due to my back and other ailments, so I'll probably work tomorrow to make some of it up.
I'm pretty much done with football. Once my teams are done playing I qui****ching. I doubt that I will watch the CFP championship game, but I'm rooting for Notre Dame, since Ohio blew up the Ducks season. The Seahawks sucked this year, so I just don't know. Not a fan of Geno Smith but the whole offense pretty much stunk, so who knows. I miss Pete Carroll, but no telling what will happen now.
Have a great day everyone!
