Finally Friday's Menu
WooHoo it's Friday!!! Meisha is still on Finley's ****list. She even caught a bird and tried to give it to him. Yea he wasn't having any of it. She walked away with her head down whining.
Not all that much planned for the weekend. Just picking up the Billy goat from my SIL that we looked at last weekend.
I think Irvin wants me to make a seafood gumbo which I'm OK with since I love gumbo. He's been watching this self-taught chef on youtube and the dude can make some pretty darn good-looking dishes. He also makes Ox tail which looked amazing I've only had them once before made by an old Southern lady and they were to die for.
QOTD: Movie theater or at home streaming? I haven't been to a movie theater in over 20 years. Anything I want to watch I just wait until it's available to stream. With the cost of tickets and then snacks plus having to deal with strangers I'll just stay home thank you.
B: coffee and 2 scrambled eggs with cheese
L: buffalo chicken wrap
D: beef stew
S: carrots and radishes
30 minutes on the treadmill
Have a wonderful day everyone.

Good morning Jen and everyone!
It's going to be a busy busy day here. We're meeting with an aunt for thrift store and lunch. Then we'll pick up Rachel for a sleepover. That means we need to go to Walmart before we do that to pick up a pizza she requested. Lots to do!
I also need to work in some chainmaille today. I finished one bracelet and need to do another. Then when supplies arrive I'll make the necklace part of two centerpieces. I adore the weave the bracelets are in!
QOTD: home. I haven't been to a movie since the first of the sequels to Star Wars came out. The one with Ray and what not. It's too expensive for my taste.
B: unfortunately an apple turnover and some coffee.
L: undecided but if it's Thai it'll be satay and maybe a small shrimp roll
D: probably chicken and or a salad.
That's beautiful. And a lot of work!

Good Morning, yay for FriYAY! I hope the siblings make up soon- lol. I am ready for 5:00 already. I actually have plenty to do to make the day go quick. I'll work at home a few hours over the weekend so our payroll day Monday can be a bit smother. Nothing else too exciting though.
QOTD: Home streaming most of the time. I do want to see The Lion King.
TSS: 10 years 5 months
B: SF latte, 3 turkey sausage links, and an orange
L: Turkey and cheese sticks, oikos yogurt and some fruit
S: A piece of fruit and yogurt
D: TBD
ES: Protein ice cream and carbmaster toast
E: 1/2 hour elliptical and 2 miles on treadmill
V/W: On track
Totals: TBD
Have a great day!
Morning gang. We got a dusting of snow last night, but the weekend is supposed to be 40 and rainy. Then down to the single digits next week. Brrr.
Eating has been decent. I made us porkchops last night. I hadn't tried them in about 10 years. It didn't go well either time. Porkchops and pasta are on my no-fly list.
QOTD: Mostly at home, but i still like going to the theater. JB and I will go now and then, and I have a BFF that i'll go to a movie with that JB won't like.
Have a great weekend!

I love porkchops, but they can get dry fast and cause issues. I started cooking them in my cast iron pan with a gravy. I pan sear first then add a gravy usually an onion mushroom one and bake covered for an hour. So far every time they are tender and juicy.
I am so lucky to be able to do pork chop. Last week I double whammied myself and ate a fried rice ball. Oh, it was hours before I found relief. It was yummy going down. Not so much coming up.

Good morning, everyone!
Last night I was thinking about when we go on vacation again and I realized that we have only been back for 2 1/2 weeks. Ugh. For the record, it's 6 more weeks.
What a difference between weather in the 30's versus the teens or low 20's. It was so much easier to get out the door and swim this morning. This mini thaw is only for a few more days.
This should be a good weekend. We have an inter-gym competition Saturday to get people excited for the CrossFit Open. Sunday I am doing an indoor mini triathlon, it's just a 10 minute swim, 10 minutes to get dressed, 30 minute stationary bicycle and 20 minutes run on a treadmill. It's been a minute since I've used a treadmill, though.
Other than that it's mostly going to be NFL playoffs and the College Football Championship on Monday night.
QOTD: We will go to Studio Movie Grill about once a year. Occasionally, I will buy videos at Target and watch them on the DVD. But mostly HBO. That's where I watched Hot Tub Time Machine 2, and Piranha 3DD.
Breakfast: Bagel
Lunch: Steak and Hash Browns
Dinner: Maybe leftover lamb
Have a great day, all!

We have some really cold weather on the way. I noticed -12 for Tuesday. Good weather to stay inside if you don't have to go out. My husband did not like vacations and I went with others and he stayed home a lot. He just did not do well in new situations and got nervous if he made a wrong turn or was in a place where he did not know everyone and everything. He did used to say that the minute people go back from vacation they started planning their next one. I love adventure and doing new things. And I do start working on the next vacation as soon as I get home from one.
