Happy Friday Eve!! The safety audit is going pretty well at work and it is prepping us for the VPPPA recertification that is coming up in February.

Woke up this morning and must have slept wrong or maybe the dog jumped on me as the right side of my lower back is sore. I'll just do some mild stretches throughout the day and hopefully it will feel better by this afternoon. I swear sometimes I can just be standing still and hurt myself in some way. LOL At least it never lasts very long.

QOTD: Is there any type of food that you've wanted to try but were afraid to for one reason or another? So yesterday I posted about the Kimchi that I made. I'll be honest for years I had seen it in the grocery stores and wanted to try it but was always hesitant. Then one day I said to heck with it and got a small jar. Both my husband and I loved it so we decided that we should learn how to make our own and this is where we are now making our own Kimchi. :)

B: 2 eggs and 1 homemade sausage patty

L: chef salad with O/V

D: chicken loaf with sweet potato fries

S: homemade beef jerky

No treadmill today unless my back feels better tonight

Have a great day everyone!!!

Good mornin to everyone!

it's snowing here, they are saying around 4 inches. It started earlier than they said so we might get more. I am neither excited or upset by it.

That means we'll likely stay home today which is a good thing. There are a few things I want to work on.

QOTD: hmmm I have never had lobster. I know, right!? I know I'd like it as I love most seafood.

B: egg sandwich and coffee

L: hamburger stew

D: same as lunch

The place to try lobster for the first time is Red Lobster. It will be perfectly prepared there. Just get the lobster tail and dip it in the melted butter. It is the tastiest seafood of all. Preparing it at home is tricky. Eating a whole lobster is a lot of work and the tail is the best part.

I poach them in butter when I make them at home. They are lovely.

That would be awesome. I have put them in boiling water, but never tried poaching in butter. I wish we lived closer. I could learn so much from you.

For me it is kimchi. I have thought about it for a long time and decided to try after you posted about making your own.

It is one of the top prebiotics that is awesome for gut health. We have a great Korean restaurant here they do it so well.

Good morning, everybody!

I think that I can see the weekend from here. We don't have much planned, just football, gym and food. Today is my youngest's 21st birthday. He selected Filipino food for his birthday dinner, so we will have that tonight.

I had something kind of out of the ordinary happen at lunch yesterday. Normally I say that my pouch can digest anything that my teeth can break, but yesterday we had really dry chicken kebabs and dry overcooked rice. I really struggled to eat it. Kind of felt like I was back in early days when eating 3 shrimp was an accomplishment.

We watched Hot Tub Time Machine 2 last weekend. It was really bad. I thought that Piranha 3DD (sequel to Piranha 3D) was the worst sequel I had seen, but this gives it a run for its money.

QOTD: I can't think of anything. I told you guys that I passed on the Weasel Coffee in Vietnam and I don't regret that.

Breakfast: Pizza

Lunch: catered

Dinner: meat plate and noodles

Have a great day, all!

Chicken is iffy for me away. Too dry and I cannot eat it. I love chicken if it is cooked properly.

Morning all. Seems like an ordinary day here. JB is working from home. But her dad ended up back in the hospital yesterday. He'll get moved from the tiny local hospital to the bigger medical center, so we need to wait and see. I'll keep you posted.

Eating is on track. I had too much cheese yesterday, but calories were in line.

QOTD: everything i want to eat i have already eaten. I have no bucket list foods. More of the same, please.
