What's on your Wednesday Menu?

Good Wednesday morning everyone. Yes, I gave in and got the Thanksgiving pizza with a couple of other people. It was so good even though I only had one piece. It's very filling.

I started handing out the $50 holiday GC to employees who will not be here the rest of the week, and they were all grateful. They know to come back Friday afternoon to get their turkey.

If I had been 2 minutes sooner on the highway this morning, I think it would have been me that hit the deer instead of the van. I noticed something in the left lane and as I went by realized it was a bumper, then about 50ft up the road was a white van on the shoulder. There was front fender damage, and the bumper was obviously off. This time of year is crazy with deer and rut season.

QOTD: What's a childhood memory you have of Thanksgiving? Mine would have to be when one of my uncles specifically Uncle Dick would come to the farm at like 4am with a huge fruit basket for us and then proceed to sit and help his sister get stuff ready for dinner. My mom would make a 25plus pound turkey back then and those did not fit in an oven bag. He would peel potatoes, butternut squash, boiling onions, turnip all the while my mom was getting the stuffing ready for the bird. He was a great guy and always around to help his little sister. My mom is the youngest of 6 and only has one brother left alive.

B: coffee and protein shake

L: my last piece of pizza

D: porkchops and mushrooms

Have a great day everyone.

Good mornin everyone.

Busy day ahead here. My mom has a doctors appointment and we have to go grocery shopping. Also to pick up a prescription.

We had our Tange spayed yesterday. She's doing well and running around. She doesn't seem to need to come which she wouldn't let stay on anyway. We hate having to put her through it but we know it's for the best.

QOTD: my favorite is helping my grandpa with frying his okra, smoking the turkey...and helping my grandma with the dressing. I miss being a family. After they passed we went from a huge family to a family of just my mom, us and my aunt Sandra and her kids. It was sad. I don't miss certain people per se but I miss the community feeling in a way. Now I do the turkey and most of the cooking. My aunt Sandra doesn't come to our get together either. We are doing air fryer okra this year but it's a must. Makes me thing instantly of my grandpa. I miss him so so much.

B: eggs, cheese and coffee

L: probably Thai food

D: leftover Thai food.

have a wonderful day y'all.

My cat called it the cone of death. He got stuck in a corner and couldn't figure out how to get out.

Poor Tange. I always kept the cone on a few days because they can tear their stitches out. She should be ok soon.

They used glue to close the outer skin. She is not keeping it on so there isn't much we can do.

it sucks to see them in pain and you can't do anything about it!

We got the death wish stare at us as well. Tange seems to have a very short neck so she got it off almost immediately.

Thanksgiving pizza has to be interesting. I am a fan of pizza with red sauce, ham and pineapple. Something no Italian would approve of.

Thanksgiving morning memories are tearing up bread for stuffing, frying celery and onions, putting the stuffing in the turkey, watching the cranberries pop.

The Thanksgiving parade with the wonderful floats, all the pies with real whipped cream. It was definitely the food holiday. We were Catholic and could not have Turkey on Friday. It was so tempting to cheat.

The week following we had turkey dishes every day until it was gone.

I will make turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce and eat it until I am tired off it.

I love traditions.
